One of the biggest crypto breaches ever—Bybit’s security breach is a wake-up call for the entire Web3 industry. This isn’t just about Bybit; it’s a reminder that crypto is not yours unless it’s in your own wallet.
At Pentagon Games, security is our top priority, and self-custody is the foundation of true financial freedom. We never hold user funds—other than reward tokens, which are allocated into a user’s own account abstraction wallet for later self-custodial withdrawal.
🔹 Be Your Own Bank – If you don’t control your keys, you don’t control your wealth.
🔹 Always use a hardware wallet – CEX accounts can be compromised, but cold storage keeps your funds safe.
🔹 Custom passphrase > Seed phrase – Add an extra layer of protection beyond just your 12/24-word recovery phrase.
🔹 Trade & stake without relying on centralized exchanges – Use decentralized protocols like dYdX, Hyperliquid, Aave, Curve, and 1inch to maintain control.
🔹 Be the Mother Goose of Your Crypto – Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, and don’t let someone else carry it. Guard your nest fiercely, because no one will protect your assets better than you.
The lesson here is clear: when it comes to wealth, take control. Web3 was built for self-sovereignty, but security starts with you. Stay informed, stay secure, and don’t wait until it’s too late.
