A US federal judge on Monday granted Alibaba Group Holding's request for a preliminary injunction, ordering the US government not to deny Pentagon โcontracts to companies because they, their parent companies or subsidiaries do business with firms that engage in โlobbying activities for the e-commerce giant.
Alibaba sued the US government in June after the Pentagon added it to a list of companies allegedly aiding China's military, alongside internet search provider Baidu, EV maker BYD and other major Chinese manufacturing and technology firms.
Monday's ruling means Alibaba will be able โto retain US lobbyists who also represent Pentagon contractors.

Janus Henderson is launching the first-ever licensed tokenized fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index, marking Wall Streetโs latest push to bring traditional assets onto the digital ledger that underpins cryptocurrencies.
Janus will manage the new fund, which will trade under the ticker โJQQQโ and run on technology provided by the tokenization firm Centrifuge. It is initially available to eligible non-U.S. professional investors on the Stellar network, a blockchain focused on tokenized assets. The fund has a minimum investment of $100,000.
โBringing the Nasdaq-100 onchain with Janus Henderson and Centrifuge shows how far tokenization has come, from cash-equivalent assets to the benchmarks that define global equity markets,โ โ said Denelle Dixon, CEO & Executive Director of the Stellar Development Foundation.
โStellar was purpose-built for regulated finance, and we expect many more products like this to follow.โ๐

Defense tech startup Anduril Industries Inc. has joined forces with chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. to produce laptops that are designed and assembled in the US, an attempt to rebuild a manufacturing process that has largely moved overseas.
The companies unveiled a new product line on Tuesday called BlueChip intended to supply โAmericaโs most critical industries โ including government, defense, first responders and public safety,โ according to a statement.
The eventual goal is to establish an โend-to-end American supply chainโ for the laptops and, more broadly, to rebuild US computer manufacturing, the companies said.
