Tale of Generosity from Lady Fatimah (SA): A Lesson in Selflessness πΉπ
Once, Salman al-Farsi, at the command of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), went to the door of Lady Fatimah (SA) to prepare food for a newly converted Arab. After Salman's request, Lady Fatimah (SA) said, "I swear by God, Hasan and Husayn are troubled by extreme hunger, sleeping with empty stomachs. However, I do not reject any goodness, especially when it comes to my doorstep."
She continued, "O Salman! Take this garment of mine to Simon the Jew, and bring back a sa' of dates and a sa' of barley." Salman took the garment to Simon and narrated the story. Simon shed tears and said, "This is asceticism in the world and what Moses (AS) had foretold in the Torah. So, I also bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." He then gave Salman a sa' of dates and barley, which Salman brought to Lady Fatimah (SA).
With her own hands, Lady Fatimah ground the barley into flour, baked bread, and gave it to Salman. Salman requested, "O daughter of the Prophet! Take a portion for Hasan and Husayn (AS)." In response, Lady Fatimah (SA) said, "I do not claim possession over what I have given for the sake of God."
This heartwarming tale emphasizes selflessness and compassion. Let's learn from the noble example set by Lady Fatimah (SA). ππ #LadyFatimah #Generosity #Selflessness #IslamicValues #Inspiration #ProphetMuhammad #SalmanAlFarsi π @rahyafte_en π Source: Riyahin al-Shari'a, Vol. 1, pp. 130-134, citing the biography of Lady Fatimah (SA), p. 67-68.

For thirty years, an enlightened mystic would continuously say: Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from God).
One of his disciples asked, "Why do you seek forgiveness so much? We have never seen you commit any sin!"
He replied: "For thirty years, I have been seeking forgiveness for one inappropriate Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God)!"
One day, news came that the market in Basra was on fire. I asked, 'What about my shop?' They said, 'Your shop hasnβt burned.' I responded, Alhamdulillah...
That Alhamdulillah meant that I only cared that my property wasnβt burned, as if the loss of others didnβt matter to me!
That praise was out of selfishness, not for the sake of God.
How many times have we said Alhamdulillah and thought we were grateful, but it was really about ourselves?

Ayatollah Mujtahdi Tehrani (RA):
β Sheikh Rajabali Khayyat said:
"Whenever I prayed, I always asked for something from Allahβwhether it was the prayer of Imam Mahdi (AJ) or the prayer of Ja'far al-Tayyar. But one day, I decided not to ask for anything. I told myself I would offer a prayer solely for the sake of Allah, without asking for any worldly or personal request."
πΈ "Do not worship like a beggar, only seeking reward,
For the Master Himself knows how to nurture His servant."
That very night, Sheikh Rajabali had a dream. In the dream, he was told: "Why did you take so long? You should have thought about this thirty years ago! After a lifetime of prayers, now you wish to pray without asking for anything in return?"
