🔴 U.S. House of Representatives: Europe Must Trigger the "Snapback Mechanism" in Line with Trump’s Maximum Pressure on Iran
According to Fox News, U.S. lawmakers have introduced a bipartisan resolution in Congress urging the three European signatories of the JCPOA (Britain, France, and Germany) to immediately activate the snapback mechanism. This would automatically reinstate full UN sanctions on Iran through the UN Security Council.
The resolution accuses Iran of repeatedly violating the 2015 nuclear deal, signed during Obama’s presidency, and demands the reimposition of all UN sanctions outlined in past Security Council resolutions.
📌 Note:
With only a few months left before the JCPOA’s expiration, the snapback mechanism must be triggered six months in advance to take effect. This means Iran’s government has until late March to negotiate or take action—otherwise, everything may collapse.
