🔴 A Further Thought: What If Simon’s Father Was a Descendant of David?
Afterward, another thought occurred to me:
Perhaps Simon’s mother was the one through whom he was connected to David, while his father may himself have been descended from Prophet David.
If that were the case, then perhaps the requirement of the Messiah being Davidic through the paternal line could still apply to the Shi'a awaited savior.
🔹 The answer:
In Jewish tradition, being “a descendant of David” does not mean that having any paternal connection somewhere within one’s ancestry is sufficient. Rather, the person himself must belong to a direct paternal line descending from the House of David.
For example:
Simon’s father → paternal grandfather → father of the paternal grandfather → … → David
But if the lineage were:
Simon’s mother → maternal grandfather → maternal ancestors → David
then, according to traditional Jewish understanding, this would not constitute the Davidic royal lineage required for the Messiah.
🔻 But there is a more important point:
If it could be established that Simon’s own father was a descendant of David, then the situation would be completely different.
In that case, Simon would be Davidic through his father, not through his mother.
And if Lady Narjis Khatun was descended from Simon, then Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, would also trace his lineage back to Prophet David through that paternal Davidic line.
So the key question in resolving this issue is:
❓ Do any Jewish, Christian, or Islamic sources state that Simon Peter had a paternal lineage that can be traced back to Prophet David?
At this point, I cannot go any further myself. This question should be addressed to specialists in comparative religion and religious history.
Perhaps we can explore this issue at another time.

🔴 The Islamic Savior: A Descendant of Imam al-Hasan or Imam al-Husayn?
✍️ Mostafa Amiri
🔻 Sunni Muslims identify the Promised Mahdi and the Islamic savior as a descendant of Imam al-Hasan, whereas in Shi'a tradition, Imam al-Mahdi is regarded as a descendant of Imam al-Husayn.
However, Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, can be considered a descendant of both Imam al-Hasan and Imam al-Husayn.
🔹 The explanation:
All of the Imams after Imam al-Baqir are descendants of both Imam al-Husayn and Imam al-Hasan.
This is because the wife of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (Imam al-Sajjad) was a daughter of Imam al-Hasan.
Therefore, all the descendants, grandchildren, and Sayyids descending from Imam al-Baqir, including Imam al-Mahdi, the son of Imam al-Hasan al-Askari, are descendants of Imam al-Husayn through Imam al-Sajjad, while also being descendants of Imam al-Hasan through Imam al-Sajjad’s wife.
🔻 Therefore, Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, traces his paternal lineage back to Imam al-Husayn, while through his maternal lineage, he also traces his ancestry back to Imam al-Hasan.

🔴 Jordan’s King: The West-Backed “Jewish Blue-Eyed” Monarch
✍️ Mostafa Amiri
🔻 Among the kings of Arab countries, the King of Jordan is different. The distinctiveness of King Abdullah II is not merely due to the fact that he is described as the only “blue-eyed” monarch in the Arab world. His Jewish mother, his political conduct, his hostility toward Shiites, his alliance with Israel, and other factors are also presented as distinguishing him from other Arab kings.
The Hashemite Dynasty (Arabic: الهاشميون) is a dynasty of Sunni Arab rulers who claim descent from the Sayyids and the Prophet Muhammad.
The Jordanian royal family claims to be descended from the Hashemite family. A genealogy is also reportedly available on the official website of Jordan, tracing his lineage through Imam Hasan back to the Prophet Muhammad [1].
Interestingly, Sunni tradition identifies the awaited savior as a descendant of Imam Hasan, whereas in Shiite tradition, the awaited savior is regarded as a descendant of Imam Husayn.
King Abdullah of Jordan received his education in Britain and the United States.
He was the first person to raise the issue of the threat posed by the “Shiite Crescent” at the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
The King of Jordan was also the first to propose the establishment of an “Arab NATO” toward the end of the Syrian crisis, aimed at confronting Iran and Shiite resistance.
🔻 There has also been extensive effort to portray the Jordanian royal family as an alternative or false messianic figure, based on the claim that the Jordanian royal family is descended from Imam Hasan.
🔻 Yasin Ajlouni, described as one of the court-appointed religious scholars of Jordan, states:

🔴 Is the King of Jordan Descended from Imam Hasan?

🔻 The image shows the genealogical tree of the Jordanian royal family, which claims descent from the Banu Hashim and the progeny of the Prophet Muhammad, with the lineage of the family ultimately tracing back to Imam Hasan.

▪️ I wonder why, despite the large number of Shiite scholars, no one has so far undertaken a serious investigation to determine whether the Jordanian royal family's genealogy is authentic or fabricated.
▪️ On this matter, an investigation and inquiry should be directed to Seyyed Mehdi Rajaei, a prominent expert in genealogy (ʿilm al-ansāb) and the head of the Research Institute of the Sayyids in Qom. He was a student of Ayatollah Marashi Najafi, the renowned genealogist.

🕌 Nazli Margarian: “I Became Muslim and Chose Shia Islam at the Age of 17”
http://rahyafteha.ir/76740/
Published: December 9, 2019
Reading time: 7 minutes
According to Rahyafteh, a website featuring accounts of converts to Islam and religious missionaries:
Years ago, Martyr Ebrahim Hadi disappeared in the sands of Fakah during the Iran-Iraq War. Yet today, his influence can be found in the hearts of young people who were born years after his martyrdom.
Nazli Margarian, a young Armenian woman from Armenia, is one of them. She says:
For some time now, this young non-Iranian woman has been reading biographies of Iranian martyrs of the Iran-Iraq War and of the so-called Defenders of the Shrine.
Here is the interview:
👩 How old are you, Ms. Margarian, and where are you from?
My name is Nazli Margarian. I was born in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. I am 25 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from a university in my city. I currently live in Yerevan.
🇮🇷 How did you become interested in Iran and learning Persian?
I became interested in Iran when I was about 11 or 12 years old. We had Iranian neighbors, so I knew Iran and Iranians to some extent.
Interestingly, our neighbors were not religious and did not speak positively about Iran. One of our Armenian acquaintances who lived in Iran also did not have a favorable opinion of the country. But this actually made me curious. I felt that I wanted to learn more about Iran.
Gradually, I changed. I tried to learn more about both Iran and Islam.
Whenever our Iranian neighbors traveled back to Iran, they would bring me books. At that time, I did not know Persian, but I had learned some words and phrases from them.
One day, I asked them to write down the Persian alphabet for me. That was how, at the age of 13, I learned to read and write Persian.
Later, when I entered university, learning Persian became easier. I chose Persian as my second language. From morning until night, I had Persian books and notebooks with me, and I was able to learn the language in a relatively short time.
☪️ When did you first come to Iran? And is it true that you are also Muslim?
Yes. I became Muslim at the age of 17 and chose Shia Islam.
While I was researching Iran, I was also trying to learn more about Islam. At school, we had a religious studies course that included information about different religions. My interest in Islam helped me get good grades in that class.
When I was 16, I visited the Blue Mosque library in Yerevan for the first time. The mosque is administered under the supervision of Iran’s embassy in Yerevan. I read books about Islam there.
Then, when I came to Iran at the age of 17, I already considered myself a Muslim and had firmly decided to embrace Islam.
I formally converted to Islam in Iran, although I had some hesitation about becoming Shia.
Why did you hesitate?
I thought that perhaps Sunni Islam, which I believed was stricter regarding certain religious matters, might be the better school of thought.
But later I realized that, deep in my heart, I loved the Ahl al-Bayt.
I came to believe that a true Shia does not prove his or her commitment to Islam merely through words, but through actions.
I had learned how to pray from my Sunni friend, and later I learned the way Shia Muslims perform their prayers.
📚 You have previously spoken online about your interest in the Islamic Revolution and Iranian martyrs. How did this interest begin?
When I was 16 and visited the Blue Mosque library in Yerevan, they gave me a book in Armenian about the Islamic Revolution. There was also a picture of Imam Khomeini on the cover.
I still have that book.
