🇺🇸 American Student: “Imam Ali’s (AS) Morality Motivated Me to Accept Shia Islam”

Benjamin Kiafchen — The Newly Converted American Muslim

“Imam Ali (AS) was a man of integrity, honesty, and patience who always treated others with respect. I want to make his behavior a model for my own life.”

Benjamin Kiafchen, a recent convert to Islam from the United States, says that his admiration for the noble character of Imam Ali (AS) played a major role in his journey toward Islam and, ultimately, toward Twelver Shia Islam.

⏱ Reading time: 4 minutes

🌿 Discovering Islam

Benjamin Kiafchen was born into a Catholic family in Riverside, California. Although his parents were not deeply religious, Benjamin believed in God from an early age. Nevertheless, religion did not play a significant role in his daily life.

He was particularly interested in existential questions:

“Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where do we go after death?”

In search of answers, he took a university course called “World Religions,” which introduced him to Islam and other major faiths. His curiosity eventually led him to study religious texts independently, spending considerable time in libraries researching different religious traditions.

📖 Finding Rationality in Islam

After studying various religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Christianity, Benjamin came to the conclusion that Islam provided the most coherent and rational answers to his questions.

He was particularly drawn to the Quran, whose message gradually had a profound effect on him.

“Whenever I was restless or had trouble sleeping, I would turn to the Quran for comfort. The more I read, the more it resonated with me.”

Over time, he became convinced of the truth of the Quran and felt that its teachings were guiding him toward righteous action.

🕌 Accepting Islam at a Shia Center

While searching for an Islamic center in Los Angeles, Benjamin unexpectedly entered a Shia mosque.

At first, he was unsure about the differences between Sunni and Shia Islam. However, an elderly Iranian man warmly welcomed him, taught him how to perform wudu (ablution), and showed him how to pray.

That same evening, Benjamin attended a Thursday-night Dua Kumayl gathering. A lecture about the character of Imam Ali (AS) had a profound impact on him.

“I was captivated by Imam Ali’s honesty, integrity, and patience. His morality convinced me to follow Shia Islam.”

❤️ His Family’s Reaction

At first, Benjamin was hesitant to tell his family about his conversion. Gradually, however, they noticed significant changes in his lifestyle. He stopped consuming alcohol and pork and avoided gambling.

When his sister eventually asked him whether he had become Muslim, he simply replied:

“Yes.”

His family initially found his decision unusual, but over time they came to respect it.

His mother was reassured by seeing him lead a healthier and more responsible life. His father, whom Benjamin describes as educated and open-minded, believed in freedom of religion and supported his decision.

As his family witnessed the positive changes in his life, their previous negative perceptions of Islam gradually changed.

🕊️ Discovering the Ahlul Bayt (AS)

After embracing Islam, Benjamin began studying more deeply about the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and developed a profound love for Imam Ali (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS).

He particularly admired Imam Ali’s wisdom, justice, and morality.

He was also deeply moved by the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala, coming to understand it not as a defeat, but as a victory for truth and righteousness.

“One of my biggest dreams now is to visit Karbala and pay my respects to Imam Hussain (AS). His stand for truth and justice inspires me every day.”

🇮🇷 Studying in Iran & Love for Imam Reza (AS)

Benjamin later traveled to Tajikistan, where he learned Persian and met his wife, a Tajik Muslim woman.

He eventually moved to Mashhad, Iran, to continue his studies. He says he feels honored to live near the shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

“Whenever I visit Imam Reza’s shrine, I feel at home. It reminds me that he, too, experienced exile and hardship.”

Benjamin was also the first American Muslim student to enroll at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad after the Islamic Revolution, where he studied Persian Language and Literature without a scholarship.

🌙 The Importance of Imam Mahdi (AJ)

Benjamin considers belief in Imam Mahdi (AJ) an important part of his faith and believes that Muslims should understand their responsibilities toward their Imam.

“Having faith in someone you have never seen is difficult, but I believe in Imam Mahdi (AJ). I may not know much about him, but I am a Twelver Shia and I understand the importance of the Imam’s presence in Islamic societies.”

He believes that faith in an unseen savior requires commitment and that Muslims should remain conscious of their duties toward their Imam.

✨ A Journey of Faith

Benjamin Kiafchen’s journey to Islam was shaped by independent research, spiritual reflection, and admiration for Islamic morality.

The character of Imam Ali (AS), the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS), and his study of the Quran ultimately led him toward Shia Islam.

Now living and studying in Iran, Benjamin hopes to one day visit Karbala and continue exploring the rich spiritual heritage of Islam.

🔴 #Readers_Questions / Edy Cohen and Israel’s “Perception Warfare” on Social Media

✍️ Mostafa Amiri

🔻 In the channel’s previous post, we discussed an inflammatory tweet by Edy Cohen, a well-known Israeli social media activist, concerning the “Sufyani.” Readers had questions about this issue and about his background. Here is a brief explanation:

Edy Cohen holds a PhD in History of the Middle East and is a known associate of Israel’s Mossad intelligence service.

Edy Cohen is an Israeli media activist of Lebanese Jewish origin. He is fluent in Arabic and analyzes political issues in the region through controversial posts on social media and Twitter/X.

He frequently causes controversy in Iranian and international media because of his provocative statements, publication of unverified reports, and sarcastic remarks about countries in the region.

Cohen’s content, alongside the security account “Terror Alarm,” constitutes Israeli propaganda on social media. Netanyahu has recently emphasized the need to repair and strengthen Israel’s image in the context of soft warfare and cyberspace.

Under a project known as the “Esther Project,” $7,000 is paid for each Instagram post promoting Israel.[1] Netanyahu stated at a meeting:

“Such projects are Israel’s main tools in the war of narratives.”[2]

Edy Cohen is well-versed in Shiite eschatological themes and functions as a kind of Israeli “psychological warfare” machine in the media. His activities and tweets are part of “cognitive warfare” targeting public opinion in Arab countries.

In one of his tweets addressed to Shiites, he invokes the terrifying emergence of a negative eschatological figure, a theme that has a prominent place in eschatological literature, in an attempt to instill fear and anxiety:

“Peace be upon the red, blond, blue-eyed Sufyani. Peace upon the Sufyani—the red-faced, blond-haired, blue-eyed one.”[3]

An Arab user asked the AI Grok about Edy Cohen’s tweet and received the following response:

“Mr. Cohen mocks Shiite Islamic prophecies concerning end-times figures such as the Sufyani, who is portrayed as a destroyer of shrines and sacred gates. He describes him as ‘the red, blond, blue-eyed one,’ perhaps referring to ??? (a red political symbol, blond hair, blue eyes), while considering his appearance ‘auspicious’ from an Israeli perspective that sees him as someone who can eliminate Islamic threats. ‘Hallelujah’ adds a sarcastically celebratory touch.”[4]

Edy Cohen also stated some time ago:

“By killing Iran’s leader, we avenged the blood of ‘Marhab,’ the Jewish [warrior] killed in the Battle of Khaybar.”

“With the killing of the Supreme Leader, we avenged the killing of Marhab, the Jewish hero, in the Battle of Khaybar.”[5]

🔻 Now that the subject of the Jewish fortress of Khaybar and the presence of Jews in Arabia during the time of the Prophet has been raised, please take a look at the next post as well.

🔴 From Solomon’s Temple to Khaybar Fortress: The Dream of “Partitioning Saudi Arabia”

✍️ Mostafa Amiri

▪️ The project to unveil the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem has been described as the core identity of Judaism in Palestine.

But the more important question is: Could this project eventually extend beyond the geography of Palestine and lead to the revival of “historic Jewish symbols” in the Hijaz as well?

▪️ Israeli officials believe that, just as the Temple of Solomon should be unveiled in Palestine following the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque, so too, with the partition of Saudi Arabia, Khaybar Fortress—once regarded as a symbol of Jewish prestige and power in Medina—should also be rebuilt and revived.

The fundamental question is: Is the project of “taking possession” of the Promised Land limited solely to Palestinian territory, or, in a maximalist vision, could it also encompass a reinterpretation of the “historical Jewish heritage” across the geography of the Bible in other countries, including Saudi Arabia?

▪️ Of course, this proposition is being examined as an “ideological and forward-looking scenario” and, although it is not articulated in the language of official Israeli authorities,

🔻 the next article will explain that unofficial Jewish figures strongly emphasize this idea.

🔴 From the Zionist Map to the Army of Sufyani; Why the Hijaz?

✍️ Mostafa Amiri

Avi Lipkin, a Zionist politician:

“We are going to take Medina in Saudi Arabia and Mount Sinai in Egypt.”

▪️ “I believe we're going to take Medina and Mount Sinai and purify those places.”

▪️ He is the author of the book Return to Mecca, and within the ideological framework of this movement, Saudi Arabia is not merely an Arab country. Rather, it is regarded as part of the “historical-biblical geography” of the Children of Israel.

▪️ What is striking is that the book essentially presents this scenario in the context of an attack by a “Judeo-Christian West” coalition.

▪️ In fact, the map is the same map stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates. They used to conceal it, but now they are speaking about it openly.

“A documented example of a maximalist Zionist interpretation that places Mecca and Medina within the future horizon of the Land of Israel.”

🔻 Interestingly, the hadiths mention that when the Army of Sufyani emerges, it comes with the aim of establishing control over the Hijaz, at a time when the government of Bani Fulan has already been weakened.

📌 In the next post on the channel, we will discuss the final sentence in greater detail.

🔴 Return to Mecca: The Jewish Scenario for “The Future of Saudi Arabia”

✍️ Mostafa Amiri

1️⃣ History and Its Transformation into an Ongoing Project

🔻 To understand Zionist futurism, it is sometimes just as important to understand what is in the minds of ideological thinkers as it is to examine what is written in the official statements of governments.

Avi Lipkin, a Zionist politician, explicitly states:

“We are going to take parts of the Promised Land in Saudi Arabia.” [1]

He is the author of the book Return to Mecca. Lipkin attempts to establish a Jewish presence in Arabia through the 40-year wandering of the Children of Israel, thereby presenting it as part of the Jewish “Promised Land.” [2]

Therefore, Avi Lipkin’s scenario is not merely a historical study of the connection between Jewish historical identity and Saudi Arabia. Rather, it is presented as a geopolitical and eschatological issue spanning the broader geography from the “Nile to the Euphrates.”

He establishes a connection between the Bible, the geography of Arabia, and the “political future” of the Middle East.

Within this ideological framework, Saudi Arabia is not merely an Arab country. Instead, it is portrayed as part of the “historical-biblical geography” of the Children of Israel—a geography whose existing structure, according to this interpretation, should be altered and divided.

A “maximalist” reading of Zionism that places Mecca and Medina within the future horizon of the “Promised Land” of Israel.

In this context, the NEOM project is also presented as a transnational megaproject that does not belong exclusively to Saudi Arabia, with the claim that its ultimate ownership in the future will be in Jewish hands. [3]

For years, Lipkin has spoken in American evangelical churches, promoting a “Jewish-Christian” alliance against Islam as a form of civilizational “balance shift” within the geography of the Bible. [4]

🔻 To be continued.
