At the outskirts of Parabadi vil, near Chotila, #Surendranagar, #Gujarat, is a 13th century CE Panchayatna temple. Though in ruins, locals have continued to worship here. Amazing faith!

138 years old photo of 11th century Trinetra (Taranetar) Shiv temple at Than in Saurashtra region of Gujarat was taken in 1880 CE. The original temple was built by King Mandhata in Satyayug.

Relatively unknown even among the locals, located 20km to the northeast of Gwalior, the cluster of temples date back to 8th century

Several of them are partly ruined and restoration is on.

This temple has a mound like look because of the mud accumulated around. It has GarbhaGruha, Antarala and Navaranga. It is believed to be a 13th century temple based on an inscription at the temple.

Dated: ~10th century CE or older, very sad to see ancient architecture at such pathetic conditions.
Here #ShivaLingam follows typical square, octagonal and cylindrical/circular scheme.

Mundorshikkadavu Mahavishnu temple in Ottapalam, Palakkad Kerala even today reveals the cruelty of 1921 Moplah riots.

In addition to Mahavishnu idol with head cut off, trails of destruction is very visible in the temple compound.
