The temple once must have had sounds of bells ringing, filled with scent of camphor. Today, the temple lies abandoned, plundered by Izlamic invaders. And yet, I see a small lamp lit a niche. Someone hasn’t abandoned his dharma

The flame of that one lamp fills me with hope.
The temples from PoloForests, Gujarat, supposed to be ‘maintained’ by the state archeology department, Gujarat.
Challissery Siva temple which was destroyed during invasion of Tipu Sultan has been restored.

This is made possible by all those who supported the #ReclaimTemples project.

Every Hindu temple in ruins will be restored, wounds inflicted Islamic invaders will be healed. #KL007
Our next project is revival of ancient Ayinikkattu Mahavishnu temple in Palakkad Kerala which is lying in ruins. The sight of Lord Mahavishnu smiling amidst the ruins is very painful and forcing us to do everything required to revive worship at the earliest.

Please do consider making a contribution of atleast Rs 100 towards restoration.

This ancient temple in Mount Abu is said to be 7000 old temple from Mahabharata times.

This temple needs serious attention.

Instead of focusing on such treasure, ASI is focusing on Tombs. Sad reality of India.
The Lat Bhairav shrine, another disputed site of #Varanasi. The original Lat may have stood as a garuda stamba in a temple. The stamba was broken in an 1809 riot, the remaining part later covered in metal and worshipped as an icon of Bhairava.
Galaganatha Temple, Pattadkal is an example of typical Nagara Style architecture built in 8th century, dedicated to #Shiva.

The sanctum (houses Shivlinga which is no longer worshiped). Circular path around the sanctum exists today, rest of the temple structure is dilapidated.
