Worship of Goddess Durga was performed at Cholakkara Durga temple in Malappuram on 6 March 2022.

The temple land is encroached and Jihadis are trying for many decades to prevent restoration of this temple.

The temple was destroyed during 1921 Moplah Riots, Vigraha of Goddess was broken to pieces and temple has been lying in ruins ever since.

This is the eleventh ancient temple that will be revived as part of the #ReclaimTemples project.
