Odappallam KirataShiva Parvati temple in Wayanad was completely destroyed during invasions. A Christian family many decades back bought land containing temple ruins and built a house over it.
The temple stones, ruins and Shivlinga was dumped in another place and covered. However the Shivlinga emerged from the ground and the villagers have been trying since 2012 to rebuild the temple for Mahadev.
The revival of each temple is a fascinating story of the Divine , each of us should consider it a blessing to be a part.

Civil case filed by Kunheen, Kunjaisha, Ramla, Laila, Fathima and others to block restoration of Cholakkara Durga temple in Malappuram came up for hearing before the Tirur Munsiff Magistrate on 27 Oct 2023.
Court appointed an advocate commission to inquire and submit report.
Restoration work will continue. Garbagriha is completely dismantled, Shilanyas this month.

Savithri Manayamma, the matriarch of the traditional trustee family will first light the lamp. She has been waiting and praying since childhood to see this ancient temple getting revived from the ruins.
The temple is restored by Ugra Narasimha Charitable Trust as part of #ReclaimTemples project. The first stage of restoration comprising of Garbagriha, temple kitchen, temple well is completed and daily worship will start from next uttarayana.
