Deeparchana held at Ayyamkulamgara Uma Maheswara temple in Malappuram on Deepawali.

Thank you for supporting the revival of this ancient temple that was lying in ruins for close to a century.

The Garbagriha, temple kitchen and sacred well is done. Next is Namaskara Mandapa, outer structures around Garbagriha, Garbagriha for other Deities, temple boundary walls etc.

Savithri Manayamma prayed and waited for more more than 70 years to see the revival of Ayyamkulamgara Uma Maheswara temple in Malappuram.

On 12 November, she lit lamp and restarted the tradition of deeparchana at this ancient temple. She was also honoured infront of Mahadev.

Revival of a temple impacts every devotee in a locality in a positive manner. The transformation it brings is real.

The foundation work of Cholakkara Durga temple in Malappuram started soon after the Shilanyas on 19 Nov 23.

The foundation had got affected due to roots of trees and due to a century in ruins after 1921 Moplah riots.

Mistakes may happen during the construction of a temple, moreso during restoration of an existing temple. This can also be due to interferences from forces enemical to restoration of the temple.

Hence there is a continuous process of introspection through astrology and through various rituals to guage the situation and the will of the Deity.

The focus here is to rectify mistakes and ensure that all agamas and tantra of the Deity is followed to the core.

However if attempts are made to hide mistakes, then there may be repurcussuons depending on the Deity. This can vary widely, but better not to tread this path.

There is no reason that the High Courts can't be approached for reclaiming temples other than Kashi and Mathura.

What applies to Kashi and Mathura applies to all 40,000+ Hindu temples under Islamic occupation.

Each Hindu organization should reclaim at least one ancient temple.
