So, imagine the following situation: you receive an email from a familiar address with an invitation to follow a link to open a document, for example. You follow it, download the document, and after a while receive an unexpected message: "Your withdrawal of $__ has been processed successfully."

What's happened?

Under this scheme, attackers pretend to be other persons, trying to deceive, inspire confidence and force people to give out their personal data. For example, a spoof site with a domain name differing from supposedly reliable by a single character, say "0" and "O", letters (also differing by a single character), a spoofed IP address, a DNS server - a hacker will try to spoof anything to make you believe it’s true, and download his malware, or share your private data. This is called spoofing.

How to protect yourself?

📌Never respond to messages which ask you to send your personal data, login, or password.
📌Carefully check the sender's address (email, phone, etc.).
📌Pay attention to any oddities in the behavior or differences in details of the websites you are used to (weird, and unusual characters, small differences in design, and so on).

The gullibility and inattention of users are two key factors determining the success of any attack, so your main weapon in the fight against snoopers is attentiveness and caution.
Observe information hygiene, it will protect you from potential troubles.

BTC market review

Yesterday, the price of BTC reached a new height of $31.436, but did not fix at this level. Over the past two weeks, it has fluctuated within the range from $29,500 to $31.400.
