🗓 On October 30-31, Atlanta (USA) will host the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting under the US Presidency.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will, as usual, head the Russian delegation. Most G20 members are expected to be represented at a high level.
The upcoming Foreign Ministers’ Meeting marks the conclusion of this year’s series of G20 sectoral ministerial meetings and the start of the final stage of the US Presidency, which will culminate in the Summit in Miami on December 14-15.
☝️ At the meeting in Atlanta, Russia intends to set a clear course towards substantive and balanced agreements among G20 leaders, reached by consensus and fully reflecting the priorities of the countries of the #GlobalMajority.
The US’s stated goal of returning the G20 to its original purpose – ensuring sustained, inclusive growth and maintaining financial stability – broadly aligns with Russia’s position on the need to uphold the forum’s economic mandate and depoliticise its work. The G20 should serve as an effective platform for dialogue among equals, rather than deepen dividing lines.
❌ In this context, Russia opposes Washington’s unilateral decision to exclude South Africa from the G20 process. Moscow has consistently called for Pretoria’s rights as a G20 member to be restored as soon as possible.
Russia expects the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to proceed in a constructive and impartial manner. Substantive discussions are anticipated on the impact of global geopolitical instability on the world economy, topical aspects of multilateral energy cooperation and the effective functioning of supply chains.

In his remarks, Sergey Lavrov will outline Russia’s assessment of the main drivers of international tensions, focusing on:
• the refusal of certain powers to acknowledge the rise of new centres of power;
• the use of economic “weapons” against opponents, including sanctions, trade wars and disruptions to supply chains;
• the persistent North-South imbalances resulting from this destructive policy.
🌐 Russia will reaffirm its position that prosperity for all peoples can only be achieved by maintaining an open world economy, including by curbing unfair competition and the neocolonial practices widely employed by the West.

В новом номере журнала «Команда России» вышла колонка Министра спорта РФ, председателя ОКР Михаила Дегтярева, в которой он рассуждает о восстановлении статуса Олимпийского комитета России в МОК и возвращении наших спортсменов на мировую арену.
«Решение Международного олимпийского комитета о восстановлении статуса Олимпийского комитета России позволило нам качественно усилить позиции нашего спорта на мировой арене. Более 20 международных федераций, признанных МОК, допускают российских спортсменов без ограничений. С начала года более 500 наших спортсменов выступили на 60 международных турнирах, а гимн России звучал в честь их побед более 250 раз.
В октябре российская сборная полноценно выступит на IV Летних Юношеских Олимпийских играх в Сенегале. В 2027 году российские студенческие сборные по хоккею и керлингу выступят на XXXIII Всемирной зимней универсиаде в Чанчуне. Впереди десятки глобальных турниров с нашим участием», — подчеркнул глава ОКР.
Также он рассказал о том, что международный спорт возвращается в Россию.
«Альянс независимых признанных членов спорта (AIMS) предложил провести в России Всемирный молодежный фестиваль UTS, пользующийся поддержкой МОК. В 2028 г. Россия примет в Казани Всемирные игры кочевников, которые проходят под эгидой ЮНЕСКО.
Ранее Россия была избрана в Фонд искоренения допинга в спорте ЮНЕСКО, а теперь мы намерены вернуться и в CIGEPS — это Постоянный комитет по физическому воспитанию и спорту ЮНЕСКО, тесно связанный с Всемирной конференцией министров спорта. Обсудили это на встрече в Париже с гендиректором ЮНЕСКО, доктором Халедом Аль-Анани. Кроме того, Россия может войти и в состав межправительственного антидопингового комитета ЮНЕСКО.
В декабре ОКР впервые с 2023 г. примет участие в Генассамблее Ассоциации национальных олимпийских комитетов в Гонконге».

🎙 Обращение Святейшего Патриарха Московского и всея Руси Кирилла по случаю начала гуманитарной операции в Алёшках Херсонской области (29 октября 2026 года)
💬 Дорогие братья и сестры!
Сегодня начинается весьма непростая и очень ответственная операция по организации гуманитарной помощи и эвакуации всех желающих из многострадального города Алёшки Херсонской области.
Критическая ситуация, сложившаяся там к настоящему моменту, является тяжёлой гуманитарной катастрофой и вызывает большую обеспокоенность, потому что весь город буквально усеян украинскими минами и взрывными устройствами. На протяжении долгого времени люди находились под постоянными обстрелами и сегодня остро нуждаются в самом необходимом.
Российские военные делают всё возможное, чтобы обеспечить безопасность жителей и организовать доставку продовольствия и медикаментов, проводят сапёрные работы по разминированию дорог и гуманитарных коридоров, подвергая себя огромному риску и опасности. Господь да сохранит их на этих путях.
Священнослужители и сотрудники Патриаршей гуманитарной миссии также оказывают помощь местным жителям, доставляя бытовые, продуктовые и гуманитарные наборы, духовно поддерживая людей, ставших заложниками тяжелой ситуации.
С тревогой наблюдаю за происходящим и молюсь Христу Спасителю, чтобы Он даровал Свою помощь всем, кто сейчас принимает участие в благородной гуманитарной миссии. Среди них — супруга Президента Соединенных Штатов Америки госпожа Мелания Трамп.
Надеюсь, что страждущие жители Алёшек вскоре получат долгожданную помощь. Призываю на всех вас благословение Божие.

Десятки тонн гуманитарной помощи для жителей Алешек в пути
Гуманитарный груз для жителей Алешек собран силами аппарата Уполномоченного по правам человека при поддержке банка ПСБ. Часть помощи передал Российский Красный Крест.
При подготовке ориентировались на конкретные просьбы жителей. В первую очередь людям нужны продукты: мука, крупы, сахар, мясные и рыбные консервы, растительное масло. Также необходимы средства гигиены и топливо для генераторов. Отдельная заявка поступила от центральной районной больницы — на лекарства, в том числе антибиотики и инсулин. Всего в Алешки мы везем несколько десятков тонн гуманитарной помощи.
Спасибо всем, кто откликнулся и помог собрать необходимое. Важно, чтобы жители получили поддержку, которой так ждут, а врачи могли продолжать помогать людям.

⚡️ Russia's High Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova:
The ceasefire in the humanitarian mission area in Alyoshki remains in effect.
No incidents have been reported. Both the Russian and Ukrainian sides are fully honouring their commitments.
We are on our way to Alyoshki with my Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Lubinets. Together, we are coordinating the implementation of the agreements reached with the assistance and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump.
This mission was made possible in large part thanks to our servicemen and the Russian Defence Ministry. Military engineers surveyed and cleared mines from the roads so that the humanitarian convoy could reach Alyoshki.
☝️ It is especially important now to maintain the ceasefire. The safety of civilians and mission participants depends on each side acting responsibly.

👉 25 buses with a total capacity of at least 750 passengers have been prepared to ensure the safe, voluntary evacuation of Alyoshki residents. Transport for people with limited mobility, nine ambulances and more than 50 medical personnel have also been arranged.
Humanitarian aid has been collected based on requests from the residents themselves.
❗️ The priority now is to deliver essential supplies and help those who have decided to leave.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (#CAS) has ordered the International Ice Hockey Federation (#IIHF) to admit Russian national teams to international competitions.
CAS overturned all five resolutions adopted by the IIHF Council and ordered that Russian teams be allowed to compete in the IIHF events covered by those resolutions.
CAS thus upheld the key claims of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia and overturned the IIHF decisions that prevented Russian teams from participating in international competitions.
❗️ Under the ruling, the IIHF must ensure Russian teams’ participation in the relevant tournaments in the 2026/27 season.
The CAS ruling settles this issue, as it is final and cannot be appealed.
Challenging work lies ahead as we work with the IIHF to implement the CAS ruling and secure Russian teams’ return to competitions held under its auspices.

The convoys are now heading to their respective destinations.
Those who decided to leave for Ukraine have been given the opportunity to do so. We will provide accommodation and the necessary support to residents staying in Russia.
We delivered all the essential supplies and arranged safe passage out of the city. However, people still have much to resolve – medical treatment, housing, documents and reunification with their loved ones. We will help them. We also remain in contact with those who stayed in Alyoshki to keep track of their further needs.

❗️ I propose making humanitarian missions coordinated by US First Lady Melania Trump a regular practice.
Our experience in Alyoshki and our joint work with my counterpart Dmitry Lubinets have shown that such agreements make it possible to help people even in the most difficult conditions.
It is important to continue this work wherever civilians are waiting for support.

🎙 Remarks and answers to media questions by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (Atlanta, October 30, 2026)
💬 Sergey Lavrov: We support the US Presidency’s firm commitment to depoliticising discussions and focusing on the issues originally agreed upon as the #G20’s agenda.
This year’s meeting is, of course, part of the preparations for the Miami Summit, which will take place in December.
The main topics were the impact of geopolitics on economic processes (an important issue), energy, food and supply chains – in other words, everything affected by unlawful sanctions and Western policies.
To our American hosts’ credit, they do not shy away from discussing these matters and listen attentively. I do not know to what extent this will be reflected in the final agreed documents, but the approach is right: ☝️ depoliticise discussions and focus on real problems.
Another point that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio particularly emphasised when discussing preparations for the Miami Summit was that twenty countries, the European Union and the African Union are represented here. Given the influence of #G20 members on the global economy and their combined economic weight, however, the decisions we take will affect virtually every country. We must always bear this in mind.
🤝 Let me reiterate that we welcome this firm commitment to dialogue.
Work on the Miami Summit’s outcome documents has, in fact, already begun. There will be many difficult issues, since interests are at stake across all these areas, including energy and food security. The impact of conflicts, including the war unleashed against us by the West through the Ukrainian regime, remains to be discussed. <...>

• Under the pragmatic US Presidency of the #G20, we believe there is a chance of reaching agreements that will be implemented.
• We see no need to add another European voice [Poland] to the G20, especially one that is far from constructive. You know the positions Poland regularly voices at international events. The G20 must reflect actual trends in the global economy, where countries of the Global South and East are gaining prominence.
• We spoke [with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio] about certain aspects of our bilateral relations and cooperation in multilateral forums, including the #UN, the #G20 and #APEC, that will host a Summit shortly in Shenzhen (China).
• Despite all our differences, the US willingness and interest in pursuing dialogue at various levels and through a range of other channels can only be welcomed. This is a good lesson for our European colleagues, who persist in their arrogant boycott.
• Everyone can see that the Europeans want to squeeze their way into the negotiating process [on Ukraine]. Clearly, they want to avoid leaving these negotiations solely to Russia and the US at all costs. What matters is not what the Europeans want, but what added value they can actually bring.
• As for the talks in Abu Dhabi, I can say that they will take place. Our position is well known. It is unclear, however, what the Ukrainians intend to bring to the negotiating table.
👉 As President Vladimir Putin has said, if Zelensky wants a meeting, he can come to Moscow. We guarantee his safety and security, which, as far as I understand, cannot be guaranteed in Kiev.
