👏 On October 21, the Museum of Moscow hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the 12th Andrey Stenin International Press Photo Contest.
An exhibition of this year’s winning and prize-winning entries also opened and will run until November 10. It includes photographs from the new Energy of Life category, introduced this year for photographers aged 34 and over.
The Andrey Stenin International Press Photo Contest was established by the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group on December 22, 2014. It is named after Andrei Stenin, the media group’s special photojournalist and recipient of the Order of Courage, who was killed by Ukrainian militants near Donetsk in August 2014.
The contest supports young photojournalists aged 18-33 in their pursuit of professional excellence, helping discover emerging talent and uphold high standards in documentary photography. Through their work, participants from around the world explore humanitarian challenges, national identity, social equality and environmental issues.

🏆 Grand Prix – Abdul Kader Al Bay (#Lebanon), for his series “Lebanon 2024-2025: Life Between Airstrikes”. The series documents the civilian experience of war across Lebanon – from the aftermath of Israeli airstrikes and rescue operations to mourning, displacement and daily survival.
• 2nd place – Sergey Bobylev (#Russia), for his series “Echoes of War”, shot in March 2025 in Sudzha, Kursk Region, following its liberation by Russian forces after seven months of Ukrainian occupation.

🎙 Statement by the Deputy Head of the Russian Delegation, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Natalia Fuzhenkova at the thematic discussion on cluster “Regional disarmament and security” of the First Committee of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly (New York, 23 October 2026)
💬 Today, regional security in various parts of the world is continuously faced with the most serious challenges. We are witnessing unprecedented shifts in the modern system of international relations.
Disregarding the fundamental pillars of international law for the sake of achieving geopolitical goals, refusing to recognize and take into account the core interests of other states, and attempting to gain unquestionable military superiority at all costs in violation of fundamental international principles are creating a new reality in the field of security.
The practice of expanding military alliances, whose activities are becoming increasingly aggressive, continues, alongside the emergence of new alliances. In doing so, the fundamental principle of the indivisibility of security is being flagrantly violated.
☝️ Russia, as a long-standing proponent of establishing a coordinated system of arms control and confidence- and security-building measures #(CSBMs), has for many years repeatedly called on its partners to consolidate efforts in this area. Regrettably, our proposals have met with no response from Western representatives.
While we viewed the primary objective of such work as preventing confrontation, de-escalating tensions, and preventing dangerous military activities and military incidents, including at sea and in the air, our opponents have been imposing and continue to impose on everyone the divorced-from-reality concepts of a “rules-based world order”, risk management, and crisis management.
The global trend toward the degradation of the military security situation continues to intensify year after year in Europe as well.
❗️ The reason for this is the course pursued by the previous US administration and its North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies toward open confrontation with the Russian Federation, as well as the dismantling of the comprehensive system of arms control and confidence-building measures. The foreign policy steps taken by current Western leaders are destroying the foundations of European security, which were the result of years of joint painstaking work and mutual compromises.
In recent years, intelligence activities near our borders involving NATO ships and aircraft have gone off the charts. The number of major joint and command-and-staff exercises with a provocative anti-Russian orientation has multiplied near the Russian border.
Western doctrinal documents enshrine Russia as the enemy.
The countries of the North Atlantic bloc have already effectively become embroiled in a military-political confrontation with Russia. In particular, NATO specialists participate in planning assassinations of our prominent military and political figures, supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with intelligence, and participate in launching strikes deep into Russian territory.
The situation has begun to take on an even more dangerous character.
👉 Now there is already talk of Europe preparing for a full-scale war with Russia by the turn of 2030.

При посредничестве первой леди США Мелании Трамп была достигнута договоренность об организации гуманитарной миссии в Алёшках Херсонской области.
От Российской стороны вела переговоры я, от украинской — мой коллега омбудсмен Украины Дмитрий Валерьевич Лубинец.
Приоритетом для нас сейчас выступает оказание гуманитарной помощи мирным жителям региона. Прежде всего важно уточнить потребности людей и организовать доставку продуктов питания, лекарственных средств, средств гигиены и всего самого необходимого.
Кроме того, для граждан, которые изъявят желание покинуть зону боевых действий, будет обеспечен безопасный выезд. Для этого необходимо соблюдение режима тишины и создание безопасных условий для движения гуманитарного транспорта.
Благодарю первую леди США Меланию Трамп и всех участников переговорной группы за конструктивное взаимодействие по организации гуманитарной миссии.

ВИДЕО Выступления посла по особым поручениям МИД России Родиона Мирошника на телемосте «Запорожская область: эскалация террористической войны ВСУ».
▪️На Запорожском регионе в значительной мере отразились последствия эскалации террористической войны, которую в мае-июне т.г. активизировал Киев после получения европейского кредита в 90 млрд. евро.
▪️Киев при поддержке НАТО запустил новые террористические проекты, которые до этого времени практически не реализовывались. При использовании беспилотников, выделенных Западом, украинские боевики запустил «транспортную войну» против гражданского подвижного состава, расширили масштабы «энергоцида» и стали отрабатывать практику создания блокады снабжения населенных пунктов.
▪️Наибольшее внимание противник сосредоточил на блокировании транспортного потока по трассе «Новороссия», соединяющей транспортным сообщением Ростов-на-Дону, Мариуполь, Мелитополь и Симферополь.
▪️Целями украинских бронных ударов стали большегрузные автомобили, транспортные развязки и мостовые переходы. Они делали все, что позволило бы остановить или замедлить транспортный поток.
▪️Пассажирские автобусы стали целью ударов Киева, с последующим давлением на всю систему автобусного транспортного обеспечения гражданского населения региона.
▪️В категорию военных целей Киев преступно отнес и медицинский санитарный транспорт.
К сегодняшнему дню количество пострадавших медицинских работников в Запорожской области превысило 30 человек.
▪️Киевские боевики тактику «дронной осады» отрабатывают на блокировании снабжения гражданского населения сразу нескольких населенных пунктов Запорожской области: Энергодара, Васильевки и Каменки-Днепровской. Дистанционно минируются дороги, по которым ведется снабжение городов, дронным атакам подвергается гражданский грузовой и пассажирский автотранспорт.
▪️На протяжении последних трех месяцев регион находится в состоянии перманентного «энергоцида». Большинство населенных пунктов региона лишены централизованного снабжение электроэнергией.
▪️По предварительным данным, с февраля 2022 года по 20 октября 2026 на территории Запорожской области контролируемой Россией, от деяний украинских боевиков погибли: 508 мирных жителей, среди них 23 несовершеннолетних ребенка. Ранения получили, по самым скромным подсчетам 2 207 человек, из них 114 несовершеннолетних.
▪️Интенсификацией российских ударов по украинским военным объектам, системе ВПК, складам и военной логистике, Россия смогла снизить активность террористических действий Киева, что подтверждает, что в реальности международные ограничители МГП против зарвавшегося террориста не работают, особенно если их блокируют западные спонсоры.

Дроны ещё летали, неоднократно звучала команда «Воздух», когда мы занимались эвакуацией и спасением. Слышали жужжание, объявляли «Воздух». Но мы продолжали искать людей. <...> Одна девочка лежала отдельно, двое лежали в обнимку. Их накрыло стеной и плитой.

90 процентов повреждений — это посечённые раны вследствие минно-взрывных и осколочных поражений, поверхностные осколочные повреждения кожи. Были и тяжёлые пострадавшие — с переломами, проникающими ранами.

Мы вдвоём поехали в морг. Ребёнок был полностью обгоревший. Опознать можно было только по маникюру, серьгам и цепочке.

⚡️ Maxim Grigoryev, the Сhairman of the International Public Tribunal on the Crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, which includes representatives of civil society from more than 30 countries, has produced a documentary about a crime committed in Starobelsk.
The film features testimonies from students, teachers, healthcare workers and rescue workers about the Kiev regime’s terrorist attack on the college of Lugansk State Pedagogical University in Starobelsk, Lugansk, on 22 May 2026.
◾️ PART I | Exclusive, never-before-seen footage from the scene shows exactly what happened when Ukrainian drones struck a dormitory of sleeping Russian teens. Raw testimony from the survivors of the strike and eyewitnesses proves it beyond doubt: these were young students, boys and girls, slaughtered in their sleep.
21 Russian teenagers were killed in cold blood. More than 40 were wounded.

Some of those drones were steered toward the dormitory of sleeping teens through the Starlink system — cold, calculated, deliberate.
The strike on Starobelsk was officially acknowledged by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. No denial. No excuses. Ukrainians kill Russian children and civilians — and this film puts it on record.

📜 25 октября 1820 года император Александр I подписал и утвердил первый в истории России Консульский устав — документ, систематизировавший ведение и осуществление функций отечественной консульской службы за рубежом.
В XIX веке, когда сеть российских дипломатических представительств за границей стремительно расширялась, возникла необходимость в общей правовой основе — едином документе, в котором были вместе сведены указания предыдущих лет и актуальные инструкции консульским представителям.
☝️ Принятие Консульского Устава стало результатом обобщения накопленного опыта консульской практики Российской империи с начала XVIII века. Устав определил главную цель консульской службы нашей страны — защита интересов России.
В документе регулировались вопросы деятельности российских консульских представителей в странах Европы и Америки, определялись права и обязанности консульских работников в «делах дипломатических, государственного хозяйства и торговли», а также «в разбирательстве споров и тяжб между мореходцами и прочими российскими подданными, находящимися в месте их пребывания».
Статья I Устава гласила:
Консульским представителям Российской империи надлежало оказывать российским купцам и мореплавателям «пособия в случае несчастья, заступления в случае притеснения, и во всех обстоятельствах помогать им советами и добрыми услугами, покровительствовать и защищать их самих, суда их, собственность, права и свободу».
В основу Устава 1820 года был положен французский документ, однако российское новаторство в мировой консульской практике неоспоримо. Так, в 1820-х годах Вена обратилась к нашей стране с просьбой оказать содействие в разработке на основе российского Консульского Устава аналогичного документа для формируемых австрийских консульских представительств.

Каждый российский генеральный консул, консул и вице-консул, в Европе и Америке пребывающий имеет непременною своею обязанностью прилагать особенное попечение как в месте его пребывания, так и в округе его ведомства, о всём, что касаться может до соблюдения прав и выгод российского народа вообще по торговле и мореплаванию.
Консульским представителям Российской империи надлежало оказывать российским купцам и мореплавателям «пособия в случае несчастья, заступления в случае притеснения, и во всех обстоятельствах помогать им советами и добрыми услугами, покровительствовать и защищать их самих, суда их, собственность, права и свободу».
В основу Устава 1820 года был положен французский документ, однако российское новаторство в мировой консульской практике неоспоримо. Так, в 1820-х годах Вена обратилась к нашей стране с просьбой оказать содействие в разработке на основе российского Консульского Устава аналогичного документа для формируемых австрийских консульских представительств.

⚡️РОССИЯ ПРИМЕТ ЧЕМПИОНАТ МИРА — 2030 ПО ТЯЖЕЛОЙ АТЛЕТИКЕ
Федерация тяжелой атлетики России — первая с 2022 года спортивная федерация по олимпийским видам спорта, которой удалось вернуть в страну официальный турнир высокого уровня в олимпийской дисциплине после многолетнего перерыва.
Чемпионат мира 2030 года разыгрывался в рамках единого стратегического пакета масштабного тендера IWF. Заявка России предложила лучшую долгосрочную программу, которая обеспечит мощный медийный и инфраструктурный импульс для тяжелой атлетики.
🏆 Уровень проведения мероприятий в нашей стране и работа федерации получили высокую оценку международного сообщества.
Благодаря сотрудничеству федерации во главе с Александром Винокуровым с Международной федерацией тяжелой атлетики (IWF) и поддержке министра спорта России Михаила Дегтярева чемпионат мира возвращается в Россию.

🗓 On October 22, the Nizhny Novgorod Economic Forum concluded in Nizhny Novgorod.
Thanks to the extensive business programme, representatives of government, Russian and foreign entrepreneurs, academia and development institutions had the opportunity to discuss practical solutions for implementing international projects.
The main event was the Plenary Session “Advancing international cooperation at the confluence of the Oka and Volga”.
🌐 The event gathered more than 600 government representatives, business leaders and diplomats from 27 countries, including China, India, Brazil, Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka.
The Forum was organised by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Oka Agency.
💬 Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin:
Throughout the discussion, speakers emphasised that, as the world moves towards #Multipolarity, Russia is developing new logistics routes and strengthening ties within the #EAEU, #CIS, #SCO and #BRICS, while attempts to isolate our country are doomed to fail.
💬Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov:
Chinese representatives proposed making greater use of the Yangtze-Volga cooperation mechanism to establish joint production facilities, conduct scientific research and enter third-country markets.
Cooperation with African countries was also identified as a promising area, with companies from the Nizhny Novgorod Region well placed to supply industrial equipment, medical devices, food products and IT solutions.
✍️ Three cooperation agreements were also signed at the Forum:
• between Privolzhsky Research Medical University and the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina);
• between the Nizhny Novgorod Region Export Support Centre and the Association for Business Cooperation between Exporters and Middle Eastern Countries;
• between the Agency for Attracting Foreign Talent and the Oka Agency.
The success of the inaugural Forum has set the course for its development – this is only the beginning!
Next year, the Forum is expected to become a two-day event, with a stronger focus on interregional cooperation, pooling the capabilities of Russia’s regions to attract foreign partners and implement joint projects.

Before 2022, almost 80% of our region’s exports went west – to Europe and the US.
Over the past few years, however, the vast majority of enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region have managed to redirect their sales to new markets – primarily India and China. Companies in our region and across Russia have learned to compete with leading global manufacturers under these extremely challenging conditions.
