π 2027 Therapist Impact Fund: Legacy Loan Relief (Deadline: February 1, 2027)
π€ Description:
2027 Therapist Impact Fund: Legacy Loan Relief (Deadline: February 1, 2027)
Who Can Apply:
At BetterHelp, championing well-being includes supporting the therapists who make greater access to care possible. This yearβs iteration of the Therapist Impact Fund centers on womenβs mental health and The Permission Project.
Through The Permission Project, BetterHelp is helping women recognize, question, and rewrite the unwritten rules theyβve been living by. The Therapist Impact Fundβs Legacy Loan Relief is designed to ease the financial burden of student loan debt for therapists on the BetterHelp platform, this year through the lens of womenβs health. By investing in therapistsβ financial and professional well-being, we hope to help them sustain their practices, expand their impact, and continue to grow as clinicians.
Eligible therapists are invited to tell us their story, join us in debunking the unwritten rules and expectations they see shaping womenβs mental health, and demonstrate how financial support would help them continue their work.
Applicants should submit documentation of licensure, their BetterHelp profile, and student loan information, including principal borrowed and remaining balances. Loan information can be shared in the Tuition Snapshot of the Finance section on your student profile.
Submission:
1. Community & Impact (300 words or less)
Tell us about the communities you serve and the barriers to mental healthcare you see most often. How does your work with BetterHelp help make support more accessible?
2. Rewriting the Rules in Therapy (300 words or less)
This yearβs Therapist Impact Fund is tied to The Permission Project, which helps women recognize and rewrite the unwritten rules they live by: the contradictory expectations that tell them to βbe ambitious, but stay likeable,β to βset boundaries, but be flexible,β to βask for help, but donβt be a burden.β What are you seeing in your work with women navigating these expectations, and how do you help them recognize and begin rewriting the rules that no longer serve them?
3. Financial Need (250 words or less)
How would this grant support your student loan repayment and your ability to sustain or grow your work as a clinician?
Deadline: February 1, 2027
Amount: $10,000

Neil Margeson Sound Scholarship 2027 (Deadline: May 6, 2027)
Who Can Apply:
Rooted in music and the spirit of the Green Bay Packers, Neilβs life unfolded through a musical odyssey. His fatherβs band, where guitar chords harmonized with vocals, set the stage. High school brought the embrace of drums and guitar, leading him to join various local bands. Uncertain about his future post-high school, Neilβs pivotal moment occurred in his parentsβ basement. π Fredrick W OβNeal III Skilled Trades Scholarship (Deadline: January 6, 2027)
π€ Description:
Fredrick W OβNeal III Skilled Trades Scholarship (Deadline: January 6, 2027)
Who Can Apply:
For Fredrick W. OβNeal III, the skilled trades were more than a career path β they were a pathway to opportunity, stability, purpose, and a life built through hard work. Fred experienced firsthand the impact that technical education and skilled work could have on a personβs future. A product of Triton College, where he studied engineering, Fred went on to build a long and accomplished career with the City of Chicago. Throughout his life, he remained passionate about sharing the knowledge and experience he gained through his work with others.
Fred had a particular heart for young people who needed direction, opportunity, or simply someone willing to believe in their potential. He understood that the traditional four-year college path is not the only path to a successful and meaningful life. For many, the skilled trades can provide an opportunity to develop valuable skills, earn a sustainable living, find community, and build something they can be proud of. Fred spent his life teaching, mentoring, encouraging, and supporting young people as they pursued opportunities of their own.
The Fredrick W. OβNeal III Skilled Trades Scholarship honors that legacy by supporting students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. This scholarship is intended for students who may have experienced a difficult start, need additional support or direction, or simply need someone to invest in their potential. By helping students access trade education and training, this scholarship seeks to carry forward Fredβs belief that hard work, opportunity, and the right support can open doors and help change the trajectory of a personβs life.
Any high school senior entering a trades field or a current trade school or undergraduate student who is looking to transition to the trades may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are a resident of the Greater Chicagoland Area.
Submission: To apply, tell us why this scholarship is relevant to you and what it would mean for your journey. You may also upload an attachment that indicates what this scholarship would mean to you (a picture of family, a particular school, a favorite car or machine, etc.), but this step is optional.
Deadline: January 6, 2027
Amount: $500
