27 Scottish Christian Ministers lead the fight on church Closures, and take Scottish Government to Court, TOMORROW, Thursday 11th March 2021..
Scottish Government and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, have made it a CRIMINAL OFFENCE for churches to hold services in person, and to perform baptisms.
Church leaders asked the Scottish Government in January 2021 to review this, but Scottish Government refused. So the church have informed their legal team, to proceed with a Full Judicial Review. This will take place this Thursday 11th & Friday 12th March 2021.
Scottish Churches have long-established and traditional authority over their own affairs, FREE FROM STATE INTERFERENCE. This is enshrined in the 1592 Act, the 1706 Act for Securing Protestant Religion and the Church of Scotland Act 1921.
There has been no attempt to close churches in Scotland since the persecution of the Presbyterian church, instituted by the Stuart kings, in the 17th century.
Scottish MSP’s are claiming that the state should be allowed to “regulate the secular activities of Churches … for the purposes of protecting public health” and that churches are compelled to “comply with secular law” and therefore must remain closed.
Church leaders are asking people of faith to pray for this vitally important court case.
Of course ourselves and the wider Scottish Anti Lockdown movement, will be supporting these courageous 27 church leaders 100%
