𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗔𝗜𝗖𝗕 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱: 𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

As part of the CAS initiative, the students of Grade XI & XII DP and XI CP embarked on a heartfelt journey to the AICB (All India Confederation of the Blind) Captain Chandanlal Special School for the Blind in Village Behrampur, Gurugram. This visit aimed to deepen their understanding of the lives of visually impaired students and their unique lifestyles.

During their interaction, the students had the opportunity to engage with the visually impaired students, gaining insights into their methods of learning and the specific needs that come with visual impairment. Through this exchange, they began to understand the importance of inclusivity and the values of care, compassion, empathy, and respect.

This visit was more than just an educational trip; it was a step towards building a more inclusive society. The students returned with a newfound appreciation for the resilience and determination of those who navigate life without sight. These students have set a commendable example, proving that even small actions can make a significant impact on the lives of others. They are now inspired to contribute more meaningfully to creating environments where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can thrive.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀

Under the 𝗛𝗔𝗥 𝗛𝗔𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗕 initiative taken by students of 𝗜𝗕 𝗣𝗬𝗣 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗣 in association with NGO 𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮,  collected 15 boxes of books for 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 and promote reading habits.

Students collected notebooks, textbooks, storybooks, and more, carefully categorizing them into different age groups and categories.  The first lot of these books were then submitted to representatives of iamgurgaon for distribution to less privileged children.

They will further be given to various schools and libraries, ensuring that children without access to books can benefit from them.

These books represent much more than mere pages; they stand for opportunities to empower young minds and foster a culture of learning within our community. At Scottish High, we are committed to the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀' 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, particularly 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟰: 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. This ongoing intiative of Highlanders ensures that every child has access to books and educational materials.
