Scottish High International School proudly commemorated World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and acceptance for individuals with special needs. Aligned with this year’s theme, “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value,” the day highlighted the importance of dignity, rights, and creating neuroinclusive environments in education and beyond.
The school community—students, teachers, and staff—came together in a meaningful display of empathy and support. The day began with students of Grades XI and XII creating impactful, thought-provoking posters that were displayed across the campus, encouraging conversations and spreading awareness.
Special sensitization sessions were conducted by the Dean of the Integrated Department, Dr. Rajiv Mishra, who shared valuable insights on understanding autism and fostering inclusivity. Classroom discussions further deepened students’ awareness and reinforced the importance of acceptance and respect for all individuals.

With every little step they took, the corridors were brimming with laughter and vibrant energy—a delightful reflection of innocence and anticipation. Set against a colourful and welcoming ambiance, the first day was carefully curated to provide a glimpse into the culture of care, comfort, and reassurance at Scottish High. At the entrance, teachers and mentors welcomed little Highlanders with open arms, gently guiding their first steps and inspiring confidence in them.
It was more than just the start of a session—it was the beginning of a journey filled with joy, learning, love, and loads of discovery.

The academy, led by Vijay Dahiya—a respected name in the world of cricket is set to transform the school’s cricketing landscape by nurturing young talent and equipping them with professional-level skills aimed at producing national, international stars.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, Mohit Sharma, the well-known former Indian international cricketer, graced the inauguration. Having represented India in 26 ODIs and 8 T20Is, and played in the Indian Premier League for teams like Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI Punjab, Gujarat Titans, and Delhi Capitals, he brings with him a wealth of experience as a right-arm medium-fast bowler.
With this new initiative, all eyes are now on the Highlanders. Under expert guidance and professional training, they have a golden opportunity to sharpen their skills—perhaps paving the way for one among them to emerge as a future icon in world cricket.

Grade I students embarked on their first overnight adventure at Lohagarh Farms, where they participated in fun activities such as trampoline jumping, hurdle walk, rope climbing, and the thrilling Bhoot Bangla. The experience helped them build confidence, resilience, and independence while strengthening friendships during the lively evening celebrations and overnight stay.
The Grade II Highlanders explored real-world professions through engaging role-play activities at KidZania, Noida. From firefighters and chefs to doctors and radio jockeys, students gained valuable insights into teamwork, decision-making and responsibility.
Both camps offered joyful and memorable learning experiences that allowed the young Highlanders to explore, collaborate, and create lasting memories with their friends.
