Scottish High International School organized a virtual training session for the IBDP Teachers (Group IV) in collaboration with PASCO Scientific. The session aimed to promote excellence in STEM education by building a strong foundation in Science, Programming, and Data Literacy.
The resource person Mr L. Madan Gopal covered the usage of advanced PASCO sensors and apparatus, including CO2 sensors, spectrometers, colorimeters, and DO sensors. The training aimed to equip educators with innovative technology and solutions for teaching Science. This helps to ensure that students are receiving the best possible STEM education.
Overall, an engaging session with plenty of takeaways for all attendees!

The Green Ambassadors of SHIS created a plastic monster, utilizing plastic waste, in order to not only give these wastes a new life but also to spread awareness about the critical issues that single-use plastic poses to our society. Students collected the plastic waste from our school cafeteria, their homes, societies, and nearby shops which included materials like plastic, nets, wires, headphones single used plastic bottles and packaging material, etc., From that waste they prepared a plastic monster, measuring 84โx53โ in size which depicted an enthralling and alluring interpretation of reutilizing plastic waste materials.

Bringing together a host of delegates and dignitaries from Sri Lanka and the big wigs from diverse fields pan India viz. business, education, journalism, fashion, and sports et al., the alliance endeavoured to raise awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the need for global cooperation in achieving a sustainable future for all.
