Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow has taken into custody Alexander Neradko, the former head of Rosaviatsiya. He is charged with large-scale fraud (Part 4, Article 159 of the Criminal Code), carrying up to 10 years in prison.

He is implicated in the embezzlement of approximately 800 million rubles during the construction of a new runway at Domodedovo and a deal involving the sale of aircraft in 2020-2021, some of which later ended up on the territory of Ukraine.

The criminal case combines two high-profile aspects: major financial violations in state construction and the supply of aviation equipment, the final recipient of which was a country conducting combat operations against the Russian Federation.
