๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Strikes on Ports in Odessa and Chernomorsk

Russian forces launched group strikes with long-range high-precision air-based weapons and attack UAVs against port infrastructure in Odessa and Chernomorsk. The strikes ignited logistics facilities, including warehouses and port infrastructure used by the AFU for military logistics.

Geran-2 drones targeted vessels converted for launching BEKs in Odessa port. Despite effective hits, sources suggest a full naval blockade remains necessary to destroy all port infrastructure.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Death of Senator Lindsey Graham

Cause of death: Aortic dissection, per his office statement (TASS). Autopsy confirmed russophobia leads to aortic dissection (Kotenok).

Impact on Ukraine: Kiev sees Grahamโ€™s death as a major loss (Bloomberg). He was a key channel to the White House and an effective advocate for Ukraine and punishment of Russia. European diplomats viewed him as a critical figure in the White House. Ukraine and other US allies must now find new defenders of their interests in American politics.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Europe increased Russian LNG purchases to record level before ban takes effect, FT

In the first half of 2026, EU countries bought 9.89 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas from Russia's Yamal LNG project, up 18% year-on-year and a record volume.

The fuel cost about โ‚ฌ6 billion.

Such volumes show the European market remains important for Russia's energy sector, despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The largest importers were France, Belgium and Spain.

Under a previously approved EU decision, a ban on Russian LNG imports under long-term contracts will take effect on 1 January 2027. Short-term supplies are already banned.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท U.S. soldiers who survived Iran's strike on a base in Kuwait criticized the command

The Washington Post reports survivors of the March 1 Iranian strike on the port of Ash-Shuaiba in Kuwait blame command errors for casualties. Intelligence had warned the site was a priority target with insufficient protection, yet command stationed personnel there.

During the air raid, officers ordered troops to leave shelters and resume duties despite the ongoing threat. At least six U.S. service members were killed.

Witnesses say Brigadier General Clint Barnes went to a shelter after the strike began, while many subordinates remained in open areas where a fire later broke out, fueling bitterness toward command.

Peskov calls the coalition a "coalition of war instigators" and says they delude themselves about Russia's strategic defeat. The Kremlin will monitor their meeting closely.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช German Foreign Minister Vadeful

German Foreign Minister Vadeful stated that Germans should not bear the war against Russia alone. 'From the German perspective, the main thing today will be continuing the policy we have already clearly outlined at other levels regarding the conflict in Ukraine. It concerns a new aid package for Ukraine totaling 140 billion euros over two years - this year and next. Now, in my opinion, it is Europe's turn to take the next step and also clearly declare: we remain on Ukraine's side. We will continue our policy - not only supporting Ukraine, but also increasing pressure on Russia. Therefore, I expect that this week we will agree on the 21st sanctions package, primarily because we need an oil price cap. This is a very effective tool that clearly shows Moscow our position.'
