A group of 26 US senators has published an updated version of the Russia sanctions bill, reducing the maximum import tariff on Russian oil and gas from 500% to 100%. The bill allows exemptions for countries receiving less than 15% of their natural gas from Russia and taking steps to cut dependence, potentially benefiting Japan, France, Hungary, and Belgium.

The president may temporarily lift sanctions if deemed in US national interest. The document was coordinated with President Trump and Senator Lindsey Graham. Top Russian oil importers remain China, India, Slovakia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan; top gas buyers include China, France, Japan, Hungary, and Belgium.

The readiness of some programs, such as Brakestop and V-MAX, is unknown, as declared ranges and actual system readiness (and range) may differ significantly.

DEUTZ AG acquires defense firm FFG for €1.6 billion - its largest deal in 160 years. A new FFG-Defense division will produce tracked and wheeled combat systems for the Bundeswehr, NATO, and Ukraine, shifting from civilian engines to military hardware.

On July 7, DEUTZ launched serial production of ARX Robotics (Gereon) unmanned platforms. The move secures stable defense contracts, reflecting Europe's broader industrial militarization.

Russia has reportedly developed a new modification of the Lancet loitering munition.

The drone appears to feature a new antenna mounted on the upper fuselage. It is a printed antenna with crossed dipoles, likely intended for high-precision GNSS positioning, although it could also be for communication enhancement.

🇷🇺 Combat footage: "Center" fighters destroy enemy infantry and equipment in battles for Krasnoarmeysk and in Dnepropetrovsk region

▪️ Units of the "Center" group of forces continue attacks beyond the previously liberated city of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk).

▪️ Russian troops are attacking in the areas of Grishino, Novoaleksandrovka, Rodinskoye, and Dorozhnoye.

🪂 Airborne Forces Report

In the special military operation zone, paratroopers of the 98th Airborne Division are destroying enemy manpower.

During the battles for the settlement of Vasilyevka in the DPR, an interesting incident occurred, as recounted by scouts of the 237th Regiment of the 76th Airborne Division. For an entire week, the AFU command dropped provisions to our paratroopers, thinking they were "their own." Thanks for the care, the "Drone-Food" service worked without delays. A pity there's nowhere to send a tip 😏

🇩🇪 Ukraine received first batch of RH1412 shells from new Rheinmetall plant

The AFU reportedly received the first batch of artillery ammunition produced at the newly launched Werk Niedersachsen plant in Lower Saxony, owned by Rheinmetall. The delivery includes advanced RH1412 high-explosive fragmentation shells, fully compatible with all major 155 mm NATO artillery systems, offering improved ballistics, extended range up to 40 km, and high target effectiveness. The contract, funded by a NATO country, is worth a double-digit million euros and covers several thousand rounds with modular propellant charges. The shell is optimized for 52-caliber howitzers like PzH 2000, CAESAR, and Ukrainian Bogdana.
