The European Parliament on Wednesday approved an amendment that criticised Volodymyr Zelenskyy's decision to rename an elite Ukrainian military unit after the World War II Nazi and Holocaust collaborators Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), a move that has sparked a diplomatic dispute with Poland.

◾The move comes only 2 months after Zelesnky started repatriating the bodies of Ukrainian Nazi and Holocaust collaborators to bury them in Ukraine with with all the honours in state funerals.

🇩🇪 Bundestag rejects resolution on Taurus missiles and strikes on Russia

Only 79 deputies voted in favor, 510 opposed. The resolution demanded supplying Kiev with Taurus missiles, expanding Kiev’s ability to strike targets on Russian territory, funding Ukrainian drone production, and tightening sanctions against Russia.

🇷🇺 Fuel crisis in Russia has not yet escalated into large-scale economic problems

Despite Ukrainian strikes on refining infrastructure, a full-blown economic crisis has not materialized, per FT. Fuel shortages affect the public and some sectors, but the wider economy remains stable.

Chita: Waste collection halted due to fuel shortages. Two regional airlines and a taxi association warned of price hikes. Wildberries blamed higher fees on transport costs.

Analysts estimate 20–40% of Russian refining capacity is offline. June refining volumes were 28% below the 5-year average and 35% below design capacity.

🇸🇮 Slovenia: The Slovenian parliament opposed transferring €44 million (3.8 billion rubles) in military aid to Ukraine.

🇵🇱 Poland: Poland opposed allocating funds from the European Peace Facility and demanded compensation of approximately €450 million spent on weapons for Ukraine.

🇳🇱 Netherlands: The Netherlands also refused further military support for Kiev. Both countries stated they have already done everything possible.

🇩🇪 Germany: The German parliament voted against new supplies of Taurus and Patriot missiles for Ukraine.

🇸🇰 Slovakia: Prime Minister Robert Fico has repeatedly emphasized that he will do everything to prevent the country from participating in military aid to Kiev.

🇷🇺 Konstantinovka

Russian servicemen continue evacuating civilians from liberated Konstantinovka. Drone operators from the 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Yug Group of Forces spotted a banner indicating a family with a child lived in a house during a monitoring flight. They delivered a radio and a description of a safe route, then guided the family to an evacuation point using drones, maintaining constant communication. The evacuees were given tea and medical aid in a safe area.

Stabilization measures are underway in Konstantinovka, including mine clearance and civilian evacuation. Russian forces have consolidated in the city and are pushing the enemy further away, creating more safe exit corridors.
