🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. soldiers who survived Iran's strike on a base in Kuwait criticized the command
The Washington Post reports survivors of the March 1 Iranian strike on the port of Ash-Shuaiba in Kuwait blame command errors for casualties. Intelligence had warned the site was a priority target with insufficient protection, yet command stationed personnel there.
During the air raid, officers ordered troops to leave shelters and resume duties despite the ongoing threat. At least six U.S. service members were killed.
Witnesses say Brigadier General Clint Barnes went to a shelter after the strike began, while many subordinates remained in open areas where a fire later broke out, fueling bitterness toward command.

German Foreign Minister Vadeful stated that Germans should not bear the war against Russia alone. 'From the German perspective, the main thing today will be continuing the policy we have already clearly outlined at other levels regarding the conflict in Ukraine. It concerns a new aid package for Ukraine totaling 140 billion euros over two years - this year and next. Now, in my opinion, it is Europe's turn to take the next step and also clearly declare: we remain on Ukraine's side. We will continue our policy - not only supporting Ukraine, but also increasing pressure on Russia. Therefore, I expect that this week we will agree on the 21st sanctions package, primarily because we need an oil price cap. This is a very effective tool that clearly shows Moscow our position.'

Interceptions: 342 fixed-wing drones shot down overnight across 13 regions and 2 seas: Volgograd, Vladimir, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov, Ryazan, Tula, Moscow regions, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, Adygea, and the Azov and Black Seas. Over the Moscow region alone, 81 drones were downed or suppressed over Odintsovo, Naro-Fominsk, Ruza, Ramenskoye, Mozhaysk, Volokolamsk, Chekhov, Ozery, Istra, Podolsk, Stupino, Domodedovo, Solnechnogorsk, and Kolomna.

EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels did not reach consensus on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, according to EU foreign policy chief Kallas. Work on the new restrictive measures continues.
Germany's Foreign Minister Wadephul stated that Germans should not bear the war against Russia alone, and expects the 21st sanctions package to be agreed this week, including an oil price cap. He also mentioned a new €140 billion aid package for Ukraine over two years.
The EU plans to introduce interim sanctions targeting around 250 individuals and entities.

🇦🇿 Azerbaijan-Russia Relations and Council of Europe
President Ilham Aliyev stated that relations between Baku and Moscow are fully normalized, and the difficult period is in the past.
Aliyev also declared that Azerbaijan has always supported and will continue to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, speaking at the IV Global Media Forum in occupied Shusha.
Additionally, Aliyev announced that Azerbaijan is seriously considering a final withdrawal from the Council of Europe, citing two years of discrimination. The delegation was stripped of voting rights in January 2024.
Note: A recent Ukrainian drone strike hit a dry cargo ship with an Azerbaijani crew, but Baku did not protest, unlike its reaction to a Geran drone hitting a SOCAR gas station.
