It concerns a new aid package for Ukraine totaling 140 billion euros over two years - this year and next. Now, in my opinion, it is Europe's turn to take the next step and also clearly declare: we remain on Ukraine's side. We will continue our policy - not only supporting Ukraine, but also increasing pressure on Russia. Therefore, I expect that this week we will agree on the 21st sanctions package, primarily because we need an oil price cap. This is a very effective tool that clearly shows Moscow our position.'

🇮🇷 Iran Resumes Mining Strait of Hormuz

Emirati sources claim Iran has resumed mining the Strait of Hormuz, with recent US strikes allegedly aimed at disrupting this process. Traffic in the strait continues to decline, with only 21 ships passing through in the last 24 hours.

Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran will mirror the US and cease fulfilling its obligations under the memorandum until Washington returns to full compliance with all agreements. Iran asserts it has never violated the signed memorandum and places all responsibility for non-compliance on Washington.

🇪🇺 EU fails to agree on 21st sanctions package against Russia

EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels did not reach consensus on the 21st package of sanctions against Russia, according to EU foreign policy chief Kallas. Work on the new restrictive measures continues.

Germany's Foreign Minister Wadephul stated that Germans should not bear the war against Russia alone, and expects the 21st sanctions package to be agreed this week, including an oil price cap. He also mentioned a new €140 billion aid package for Ukraine over two years.

The EU plans to introduce interim sanctions targeting around 250 individuals and entities.
