Today is my birthday.

People usually celebrate birthdays by counting blessings and making wishes for the future. Today, I find myself thinking about something else—my country.

Every day, I see disturbing images: students getting injured, police personnel getting injured, clashes on the streets, and ordinary citizens living with fear, anger, and uncertainty. Yesterday there were allegations of excessive force by authorities; today there are reports of violence by protesters. When fellow citizens stand against each other, nobody truly wins.

As a taxpayer and a citizen, I vote with the hope that our nation will move forward—with better governance, cleaner air, safe drinking water, quality education, good roads, honest institutions, and a peaceful society. These are not unreasonable expectations; they are the foundation of a strong democracy.

Some of you might think, “What difference does it make to me?” But the truth is, it affects all of us.

CAPF AC 2024: More than 400 days have passed since the examination, yet many selected candidates are still waiting for force allocation and remain unemployed.
CAPF AC 2025: More than 60 days have passed, and candidates are still waiting for the final result.

Days keep passing with one hope—that tomorrow might bring good news.

This is not just about one examination. It is about the aspirations, careers, and lives of thousands of young Indians who have done everything asked of them and are now simply waiting for institutions to complete the process.

No matter where we stand politically, we should all agree on one thing: dialogue must always be stronger than violence, public institutions should be accountable, and citizens deserve to be heard.

On my birthday, I don’t have a wish for myself.

I have a wish for India.

May we become a nation where disagreements are resolved through dialogue, where accountability is valued, where justice is fair, where those in authority listen, where citizens protest peacefully, and where every Indian—regardless of their views—can live with dignity, safety, and hope.

My responsibility is first and foremost to my nation
