Qualcomm has quietly launched two new low-end chipsets, but there’s not much to get excited about.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 (SM4450-AF):
This chip uses a 2×2.3GHz Cortex-A78 + 6×2.0GHz Cortex-A55 CPU setup. In reality, it looks like a rebranded Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Advanced Edition (SM4450). Performance and clock speeds remain unchanged. The only differences are multiple codename suffixes and a shift to a 4nm manufacturing process, with no real upgrade in daily performance.

Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2:
This is a 4G-only chipset, likely based on an overclocked Snapdragon 685. It features 4×2.9GHz Cortex-A73 + 4×1.9GHz Cortex-A53 cores and is built on a 6nm process. While clocks are slightly higher, it still targets basic smartphones and offers minimal generational improvements.

Overall, both chips feel more like rebrands than true upgrades, aimed at budget devices rather than meaningful performance gains.
