We had 3 hours to write down this paper in paper pen mode!
To many choices were there, each question was for 20 Marks.

During that time, there were Prelims and Mains; now they are called Mains and Advanced. From my city, 10 candidates cleared the preliminary stage, but around 3–4 did not appear mains exam due to lack of awareness about IITs and some other reasons and fear of big cities like Mumbai, questions like “how to go” and “who will accompany me” were common. People were not even aware of the difference between IIT and ITI at that time.
