What Problem do you face while stock screening for Swing Trading ?

Guys I did some research in Swing trading
Whatever startegies i backtested the results improve when we takee trade only if
1. NiftySmallcap 250 is above 100ema
or
2. Nifty500 Momentum 50 is above 100 ema

I used this filter critera and drawdown/losses reduced drastically
