Water, Discernment, and the Price of Blind Trust

Water is life.
Not symbolically. Biologically. Electrically.

The human body is an electrochemical system. Every thought, every heartbeat, every nerve impulse happens because of electrical signalling combined with chemistry. The brain fires through electrical impulses. The heart beats because of electrical rhythm. The nervous system communicates through charge, ions, and gradients.

We are not just flesh and bone.
We are energy organised into form.

And water is the medium that makes this communication possible.

Cells don’t communicate in isolation. Electrical signals move through water. Minerals carry charge. Hydration quality affects how efficiently the body’s internal communication system operates. Clean, balanced water supports this process. Chemically burdened water interferes with it.

This isn’t spiritual language.
It’s physiology.

Modern tap water is not natural water. It is chemically treated water, engineered for mass delivery. Chlorine and chloramine are added to disinfect. Fluoride is added as public policy. Along the way, water can carry trace heavy metals from ageing pipes, agricultural runoff, pharmaceutical residues, and microplastics that now exist everywhere.

Each substance is defended on its own.
The problem is what happens when they accumulate.

Water is the body’s primary conductor. The quality of that conductor matters. When the water we drink carries substances the body must constantly neutralise, filter, or store, the nervous system works harder than it should. Cellular communication becomes less efficient. The system compensates — quietly at first — until symptoms appear.

Fluoride deserves honest scrutiny. It is not an essential nutrient. It is biologically active and accumulative. It interacts with the nervous system, thyroid, and pineal gland. There are doctors, researchers, and public figures — including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — who have raised serious concerns about long-term, systemic fluoride exposure and its potential links to cancer risk and neurological disruption. These concerns are rarely explored openly. They are dismissed.

Heavy metals raise even deeper concern. Lead, mercury, arsenic, and aluminium are known neurotoxins. They interfere with electrical signalling in the brain and nervous system. Developing brains are especially vulnerable because their systems are still forming and their detox pathways are immature.

Autism is complex. No single cause explains it.
But many parents, clinicians, and researchers believe environmental toxicity — including heavy metal exposure — plays a major contributing role in neurological disruption. That belief doesn’t come from theory alone. It comes from lived experience and patterns that can no longer be ignored.

We filter our air.
We obsess over food labels.
We childproof our homes.

Yet we’re told not to question the one substance we consume in the greatest quantity, every single day.

That never sat right with me.

Why Choose a Natural Filter Instead of Plastic Membranes or Bottled Water?

When people talk about water filters, they often assume all filters are the same.
But the truth is, many filters rely on plastic membranes, which means you’re simply promoting the use of microporous plastic — and that plastic eventually breaks down and ends up in the water you drink.

If you want clean water, why would you rely on plastic to deliver it?

At Filtered Naturally, we filter water as nature intended — through organic materials like ceramic (diatomaceous earth) and activated carbon.

These are natural, time-tested filtration materials. They don’t rely on plastic. They don’t add anything harmful. They simply remove what shouldn’t be there.

And what about bottled water?
People are told bottled water is safer and cleaner, but the reality is far from that.

Bottled water is stored in plastic bottles. When left in sunlight or heat, the UV rays from the sun break down the plastic, creating microplastics that flow into the water. Even if you don’t see it, it’s happening. The bottle is slowly degrading, and you’re drinking the results.

So the real question is not “should I buy bottled water?”
It’s:

Why would I pay more to drink water that may contain plastic particles, when I can have naturally filtered water at home?

The Ancient Practice of Copper Water

There’s also an ancient practice I’ve come to respect — drinking water from copper.

Long before modern plumbing, plastics, and chemical treatment, civilisations stored water in copper vessels. In Ayurvedic tradition, water left in a copper container overnight was believed to become more balanced and supportive to the body.

From a modern standpoint, copper is known for its natural antimicrobial properties, which is why it has been used for centuries in water storage and medical environments.

But beyond that, through my own research and experience, I’ve come to believe copper does more than just preserve — I believe it interacts with energy.

I’ll give you an example.

Gardeners who consistently win awards for the biggest, healthiest tomatoes and vegetables often share a quiet trick. When you look closely, many of them have copper wire twisted around a stick and pushed into the earth near their plants.

I didn’t believe it at first — so I tried it myself.

And it worked.

The plants grew stronger. Fuller. Healthier. Whether you explain that through conductivity, mineral interaction, or something not yet fully understood, the result was undeniable.

That experience changed how I looked at copper.

It’s also why people have worn copper for centuries — as bracelets, rings, and bands. Across cultures, copper has been believed to attract beneficial energy and repel negative energy. Not as blind superstition, but as observation passed down long before modern science had language for everything it was witnessing.

I’m not presenting this as laboratory proof.
I’m sharing it as lived experience.

And when you start paying attention, patterns appear.

Leaving clean, naturally filtered water in a copper cup for several hours slows you down. It creates intention. It turns hydration into an act of care. Whether you call that energy, awareness, or alignment, the result is the same — a deeper relationship with what you consume.

Sometimes truth doesn’t arrive through permission or consensus.
Sometimes it arrives through experience.

Since installing a water filter in my home, I’ve felt the difference in ways that are simple but profound. My skin is clearer. My head feels lighter, calmer, less fogged. There’s a clarity I didn’t realise I was missing until it arrived. But more than the physical changes, there’s something deeper — a quiet sense of peace.

I know I’m doing right by myself.
I know I’m doing right by my family.

And as a father, that matters more than anything.

Knowing that I’m giving the best I can to Ivy and Lex — reducing what I can reduce, protecting where I can protect — brings a happiness that’s hard to explain unless you’ve felt it. Not fear. Not paranoia. Just relief. Gratitude. Alignment.

I’m genuinely grateful I found this out. Grateful I didn’t ignore it. Grateful I trusted my discernment when something inside me said, look closer.

There comes a point in life where ignorance is no longer innocence.

Once you see how much of modern illness, stress, and dysfunction is driven not by fate, but by constant low-level interference, you can’t unsee it. Discernment stops being optional and becomes a responsibility. And responsibility, when accepted, brings peace.

This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about removing what doesn’t belong.

A water filter is not a cure.
It’s not a miracle.
It’s not ideology.

It’s a practical act of responsibility.

It reduces chemical load.
It lowers exposure.
It supports the body’s natural systems instead of interfering with them.

Clean water doesn’t heal you.
It stops interfering with your body’s ability to function as it was designed to.

And if one day my children read this — Ivy, Lex — know this:

I didn’t question things to rebel.
I questioned them to protect you.

Every choice I make now carries your names with it. Not because I’m afraid of the world, but because I love you enough to meet it awake. If I’ve done one thing right, let it be this — I tried to leave your bodies lighter than the world tried to make them.

You don’t need permission to protect your health.
You don’t need consensus to act in your family’s best interest.

You just need to ask one honest question:

If I can reduce one daily exposure —
one unnecessary burden —
one invisible stress on my body —

why wouldn’t I?

Because once you know better, the real choice is no longer about water.

It’s about whether you trust your discernment enough to act on it.

“Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”

A Note on Water

Water matters more than most people realise.
Not just what we drink—but what we absorb, bathe in, and cook with every single day.

As I explain in this chapter, bottled water is not the clean alternative people think it is. It’s been shown to be contaminated, stripped of vitality, and wrapped in convenience marketing rather than truth. Once you really look into it, the logic of bottled water starts to fall apart—financially, physically, and spiritually.

During my own journey of healing and becoming more conscious of what I was putting into my body, I decided to switch to filtered water at home.

The filter I use is from Filtered Naturally.
It costs £125, and that includes a free extra filter.

Depending on how much water you drink, that will last between 12 and 18 months.
If you drink around 3 litres a day, it works out at roughly 50 pence a week.

Compare that to bottled water—far more expensive over time, far less trustworthy, and creating constant waste.

If you want to take a small but meaningful step toward protecting your health and reducing reliance on bottled water, you can find it here:

If you choose to use the code, I do receive a small percentage. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it genuinely helps support my work. Supporting one another—especially as a patriot who believes in independence, truth, and taking responsibility for our own health—matters.

No pressure. Just shared in honesty.
