These letters are a way that the federal government can put pressure on the states to acquiesce to the federal government and diminish the authority of the states. Thank you to Senator Stratton and Rep Ivory for sponsoring this bill. They are the chairs of the Federalism Commission.

Rob Bishop's book is excellent. He quotes Antonin Scalia, "The Constitution is not a living organism. It is a legal document. It says something and doesn't say other things." Words have meaning. The Constitution is very clear about the limitations to the federal government.

Rob's book goes through the Declaration of Independence line by line. "We hold these truths to be self evident.... Self-Evident encompassed the spirit of the Enlightenment. Man had the innate capacity to solve problems, thus a government of men was superior to monarchy."

Interesting article from Salt Lake City Weekly. One thing I can say for sure is they were incorrect how they explained the voter ID bill. This is an example of how media can influence the public through inaccuracies.

HB 479 Voter ID bill did not change mail-in voting at all. The change would have required showing ID if you use a dropbox to return your ballot without any changes to mail-in ballots.

Thank you for all of your work during the legislative session. Thank you for passing HC Resolution 12 regarding America 250. It is wonderful that the schools are directed to teach the kids about the signers of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. It is important for them to learn about the price they paid for our freedoms.
