Today has been a bad day. It just happens sometimes. I have paid for the radio ads and digital media to educate more citizens about taxation without representation. The radio ads will start Monday. I have been gathering information and studying all week to prepare for our campaign. We will not allow the exploitation of the Utah tax payer. Stay tuned as I share more details. 😴
Very interesting! The redistricting case will be in court this Wednesday.

I feel that it is appropriate for Utah to have seven members of the Utah Supreme Court. The bill has already passed, but the judges have not been picked yet.
Senate Bill 134 (S.B. 134), titled "Court Amendments," was passed to expand the Utah Supreme Court by adding two new justices, increasing the bench from five to seven. The bill was approved by the Utah Legislature with a 21-8 vote in the Senate and a 57-18 vote in the House, and was signed into law by Governor Spencer Cox on February 1, 2026.
S.B. 134 also expands the Utah Court of Appeals from seven to nine judges and adds one district court judge each in Salt Lake City, St. George, and Provo. Because the bill received more than two-thirds approval in both chambers, it took effect immediately upon the governor’s signature.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! 💖 Monday is a holiday so the legislature doesn't meet. I am sure everyone is happy for a day off. I have been studying all week to prepare for our information campaign that is going to start on Monday. I am going to make a talking point with a slate of bills that take control away from the cities and conglomerates power in the executive branch. I will need everyone to help with the social media campaign. I have an analysis on four more bills I am looking at. We have three weeks left of the session.
Good article about Prop 4 from Mike Carey. I pray we got enough signatures. They are due tomorrow. Rob Axson has worked so hard. This is so important. 🙏

"The Utah Platform Republicans PAC hosted a Conservative Roundtable.
We invited each to tell us the best bills of the 2026 Legislative Session here in Utah. We couldn't get to all the good bills, so we had to be picky, but we do tell you where you can go to find good guidance.
The discussion is in the link below, you'll also see the bills online live as we talk about them.
If one or more bills resonate with you, please contact your State House Rep and State Senator to let them know you want that bill passed--it makes a difference!
Here's the best bills of 2026 from PAC Board members Bob McEntee & Blair Brandenburg along with guests Otto Krauss and Monica Wilbur.
Thank you to our host (Blair) and each guest that researched and told us about the bills worthy of support.
Please feel free to comment on your favorite bill(s) below!"

Does this requirement have considerations for music classes like middle school, HS band, orchestra, choir?
Because there are enough signatures Prop 4 will go to the ballot in November and the citizens can vote to overturn it. We will need to educate the public by telling them to overturn Prop 4 they are supporting the Utah Constitution!

Rep Trevor Lee's HB 88 Public Assistance is in committee tomorrow at 4:00 pm House Building 30. This bill requires citizenship to receive state benefits. This is such an important bill. Utah is a magnet state for illegals because they can receive assistance here and in many cases receive what citizens don't get. This must be stopped.

High Priority Talking Point! 2/17-2/21
Please text to legislators
The following bills are consolidating legislative-like functions within the state executive branch and reducing the relevancy of the Utah Legislature. As authority is diverted from the people's representatives our Constitutional Republic is diminished. Please vote NO on the following bills.
HB 68 Centralizes housing policy in the executive branch.
HB 475 Expands role of executive director of Governor's Office of Economic Development
SB 221 Decision making authority centralized in the appointed Housing and Transit Reinvestment Zone committee
SB 242 Decision making power shifted to the Department of Transportation and it's executive director

I have been studying bills until 2:00 in the morning. I had better get to bed. We must stop the taxation without representation and the legislature making themselves more and more irrelevant as they hand power over to the executive branch. This needs to stop.

I have been contemplating why it matters that HB 68 centralizes housing policy in the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity. Of course this will be more efficient for the state and the citizens.
It is important to look at the code in which the consolidation is taking place: 10-21-202Effective 07/01/26. Moderate income housing report -- Contents --
Prioritization for funds or projects -- Ineligibility for funds after noncompliance -- Civil
actions.
This portion of the code ties compliance by the cities to the moderate income housing criteria to transportation funding and the possibility of a daily fee of 250 dollars. The cities have essentially lost their authority over their land. The language in HB 68 is more precise and effective and further solidifies compliance by the cities.
Does it matter that authority is being conglomerated in the executive branch. I assert unequivocally that it does matter. The fragmentation of power within the state is essential for our unalienable rights, part of which is economic freedom. The legislators that support HB 68 need to be asked if they think the elected bodies of the cities and counties should be able to make local decisions about land and zoning? If their answer is yes they shouldn't support HB 68. Those behind this consolidation want to create economic zones and authority districts that siphon off tax payer dollars to private developers without having to get the consent of the cities or counties. Keep the big picture in mind! Part of taxation without representation is tax dollars given to private developers as if they were a government entity without transparency.
