Way to go Senator Mike Lee! 👏👏👏
This ruling by the Supreme Court deals directly with the first amendment. I attended the first amendment luncheon today at UVU. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Gabriel Olivier, an evangelical Christian arrested while preaching near a suburban amphitheater in Brandon, Mississippi, may proceed with his civil rights lawsuit challenging the local ordinance that led to his arrest.

Talking Point for 3/18-3/27! Please text your state legislators.

Thank you for all of your work during the legislative session. Thank you for passing HC Resolution 12 regarding America 250. It is wonderful that the schools are directed to teach the kids about the signers of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. It is important for them to learn about the price they paid for our freedoms.

I sent a thank you to my senator Todd Weiler. He passed a great bill SB 268. It clarifies how religion can be appropriately taught in the schools. It is so important that we acknowledge all the good bills that passed and thank the legislators that worked on them.
This will be a great event this Saturday!

This is a big deal! The U.S. government says foreign aid will now go straight to national governments, not routed through NGOs anymore
I am at the Utah County Lincoln Day Dinner. Shout out to Christy Henshaw. She is amazing! She is speaking now.
These lovely musicians are playing America the Beautiful.
Senator Brady Brammer is speaking now. There was a moment during Lincoln's presidency during the Civil War when he walked into a hospital and spoke to individual soldiers to thank them and strengthen them.
The destiny of this country depends on the virtue of the people. Personal honesty matters. It matters if we speak the truth and do what we say we will.
Congressman Mike Kennedy's son is speaking on his behalf. The federal delegation is stuck in Washington trying to get funding for the Department of Homeland Security. I didn't know Mike Kennedy is a doctor and an attorney.
Tina Cannon the state auditor is now speaking. She is showing pictures of the Utah Capitol right now and how each branch of government is placed in separate areas of the Capitol to remind us how important the division of powers are.
Tina said during the legislative session Rep Norm Thurston stepped forward and helped to keep the independence of the auditor. Utah is very lucky to have Tina as our auditor.
Jason Chaffetz is now speaking. Equity means having the same opportunities. He said he had an idyllic childhood. Then one morning his parents told him they were getting a divorce and things changed for him. Life comes at all of us. We all have our story.
Transportation utility fees on top of normal taxes. Twelve cities in Utah are doing this. This is not good!

This was delegate training for the Utah County GOP. There were 1,300 people there. This is what is so amazing about caucus. Look at all of these people that are involved because they are county delegates.
Gayle Ruzicka has done so much for Utah. She received a standing ovation last night!
Ken Smith is on the left. He is chair of 53. It was fun to visit with him at our table. Steve and Sandy Watrous are on the right. They are members of 63. They are such amazing people.
