Copa America : Group A Analysis
Brazil
Manager: Tite
Goalkeepers: Alisson, Cássio, Ederson
Defenders: Thiago Silva, Miranda, Éder Militão, Filipe Luís, Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Alex Sandro, Fagner
Midfielders: Casemiro, Arthur, Philippe Coutinho, Allan, Fernandinho, Lucas Paquetá
Forwards: David Neres, Gabriel Jesus, Willian, Everton, Roberto Firmino, Richarlison
Prefered styles: 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1
Group: A
Analysis: Brazil is coping with the pressure of being the host of an international competition, once again, and there is big hype for this team to take the "silver jar" home. Tite has the previlege to have players with very diferent skills that can adapt to almost any other team strenghts in this competition, yet Tite will explore the Brazilian strenghts with short passes and wingers movements to the center of the field, as inside strikers. For a team that pressures so high with little space to play on the opponents final 3rd, moving to the end line and looking for crosses is not a common movement for the strategy, therefore I expect few corners for Brazil unless the game remains goaless after 65 minutes of the match. With a squad made from world class players, a lot is expected from this team. In my opinion, the weakest link is the coach. Brazil should easily take the first place of the group A.
Bolivia
Manager: Eduardo Villegas
Goalkeepers: Carlos Lampe, Rubén Cordano, Javier Rojas
Defenders: Saúl Torres, Luis Haquin, Mario Cuéllar, Diego Bejarano, José María Carrasco, Marvin Bejarano, Roberto Fernández, Bolivia Blooming, Adrián Jusino
Midfielders: Alejandro Chumacero, Erwin Saavedra, Leonel Justiniano, Samuel Galindo, Raúl Castro, Paul Arano, Diego Wayar, Fernando Saucedo
Forwards: Marcelo Martins, Leonardo Vaca, Gilbert Álvarez, Ramiro Vaca (sub for Rodrigo Ramallo on the 11th, due to injury)
Prefered styles: 4-4-1-1 / 4-3-3
Group: A
Analysis: Bolivia had some interesting friendlies to prepare for this competition. The team lacks quality in comparison to the favourites, but clearly has some organization. The attack lacks finishing skills, we can expect few goals from this team and we can also expect this team to be very organized in the back. The manager tried a few different styles in preparation for the competition but the most efficient showed was the 4-4-1-1 that will, in counter attack, turn to a 4-3-3. This team doesn't risk much against major teams and we can expect these struggle to find the first goal if they lack creative players. Cards are a good market for this team and half-time low goals. This team should stay on the bottom two of the group A.
Venezuela
Manager: Rafael Dudamel
Goalkeepers: Wuilker Faríñez, Joel Graterol, Rafael Romo
Defenders: Mikel Villanueva, Yordan Osorio, Jhon Chancellor, Luis Mago, Roberto Rosales, Ronald Hernández, Rolf Feltscher
Midfielders: Júnior Moreno, Yangel Herrera, Darwin Machís, Tomás Rincón, Luis Manuel Seijas, Jhon Murillo, Adalberto Peñaranda, Arquímedes Figuera
Forwards: Fernando Aristeguieta, Josef Martínez, José Salomón Rondón
Prefered styles: 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1
Group: A
Analysis: Venezuela is going places this competition. Well organized from back to front with some interesting players like Rondón, Rincón, Moreno, Josef Martínez. From this team I expect very few corners, because it's a team that focus on fast transitions and early crosses. They showed some good counter attack, good finishing skills and adaptation against all kind of play styles. I expect this team to get the 2nd place of the group A. The game against Brazil will be fun to watch.

Peru
Manager: Ricardo Gareca
Goalkeepers: Pedro Gallese, Carlos Cáceda, Patricio Álvarez
Defenders: Luis Abram, Aldo Corzo, Anderson Santamaría, Miguel Araujo, Miguel Trauco, Carlos Zambrano, Luis Advíncula, Alexander Callens
Midfielders: Paolo Hurtado, Christian Cueva, Renato TapiaI, Jesús Pretell, Yoshimar Yotún, Edison Flores, Christofer Gonzáles
Forwards: Paolo Guerrero, Jefferson Farfán, Raúl Ruidíaz, Andy Polo, André Carrillo
Prefered styles: 4-4-1-1
Group: A
Analysis: The preparation for the competition brought mixed feeling for this team. Some good performances, but mainly marked by some terrible performances with lack of finishing skills, team focused on one or two players to try to build-up play, lacking organization and communication. Individually the team has a lot of quality and skills, but I haven't that moved into a team like Venezuela or Colombia. Peru has the quality, but I think the strategy is not there and the lack of stability showed in the more recent games will leave them on the bottom two of the group A.
