Bill Maher rejects the idea that being born to a Jewish mother makes him Jewish.
Not everyone agrees with Maher on this one.
MAHER: “First of all, religion is an opinion, okay? It’s not an ethnicity, it’s an opinion!”

In traditional Judaism, a person born to a Jewish mother is generally considered Jewish, regardless of what they personally believe later in life.
