Bill Maher and John Fetterman share growing concerns that “communist” is no longer viewed as a smear on the left.

FETTERMAN: “People who are proud to be labeled as a socialist, that was like a smear… They are MORONS if they think that socialism is the answer.”

MAHER: “You said socialism, dirty word. What really was a dirty word, which isn’t anymore, is communism. I mean, this woman in New York who is Mayor Mamdani’s right-hand woman, she tweets out, ‘elect more communists.’ This guy, Graham Platner.”

FETTERMAN: “Yeah, it’s not a slur if I refer to him as a communist. That’s his own term that he used for himself.”

MAHER: “But the idea that communist is not a dirty word, I think we need to pause here and say, okay, this is a watershed mark, a moment in American history where we should pay attention.”

Even Bill Maher’s liberal audience is now APPLAUDING after he says Trump’s ballroom plans actually make sense.

John Fetterman was two tables away from the latest assassination attempt, and he says he saw the “entire line of succession” flashing before his eyes.

FETTERMAN: “I don’t care about the ballroom.”

MAHER: “I don’t either. Yeah. I mean, it’s like so stupid. It’s such a Rorschach test of whether you just hate. We saw with the assassination attempt a couple of weeks ago. America probably does need [it]… This is America and we don’t want people sitting in tents to have dinner.”

FETTERMAN: “I was two tables away at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. I witnessed this.”

MAHER: “Two tables from the attempt, you mean?”

FETTERMAN: “Yeah. I had to see that. Like the entire line of succession was right there and realized that we’ve put, there’s real danger there. We got really lucky there, for a lot of reasons. We need to have a more secure place to do these kinds of events.”

Bill Maher looks visibly taken aback after he realizes Democrats’ gerrymandering efforts have backfired badly.

“Republicans are winning the gerrymandering war.”

“Texas, Florida, Ohio, Missouri, North Carolina: They’re all now more Republican.”

“Show the map of Tennessee. This is really what’s going on here. They’ve taken Memphis, a majority black city, and they moved it into three different districts to dilute the vote.”

“Virginia gerrymandered on the Democratic side, and the Supreme Court in the state said they can’t. So that’s a big loss for the Democrats. They’re not going to get that to even the score.”

Dan Crenshaw gets testy after Bill Maher’s audience boos him for trashing Obamacare.

DONNA BRAZILE: “American dreams should be affordable for all people.”

CRENSHAW: “Health care is expensive because Obamacare made it expensive.”

[Audience boos loudly]

CRENSHAW: “It created a market that is completely unviable. I love that you believe narratives, folks… You got to look at the facts and health care policy, what actually happens in insurance markets.”

Bill Maher pointed out that Obamacare may have technically given people health care, but the deductibles are now so outrageously high that they can’t even use it.

Once Dan Crenshaw was done sparring with the audience, he got into another argument with Maher’s guest, Donna Brazile.

Crenshaw is officially out of Congress in January 2027 after becoming too unpopular to survive the primary.

Saying he would “kill” Tucker if he ever met him was really a low point. Are you glad to see him go?
