Vitreus is officially a Layer 0 AND Layer 1!! With the addition of a couple new “Hubs” parachains on top of the relay chain, our ecosystem continues to evolve and grow. Together we grow!!

Bridge/Bridge Hub
Bridge and Bridge hub development work is complete. Deployment to Testnet will be occurring over the weekend and we will have code in CertiK’s hands on Tuesday morning.

*Bridge will facilitate the native VTRS and wrapped VTRS interaction. The first version of wrapped VTRS will be erc20 (Ethereum) trading on Uniswap.*

Asset Hub
Asset hub developement work is complete and will be deployed over the weekend to TestNet. Code will be provided to CertiK Tuesday along with Bridge and Hub.

*Asset Hub is for hosting asset registrations like VTRS and VNRG, NFTs, and any other launched tokens in the future. All digital assets live here.*

Wrapped VTRS (wVTRS)
The pre-audited contract is finishing developement and will be ready next week with an address. This will allow us to launch many of the banner ad campaigns that are currently awaiting the address.

vGovern
vGovern is being deployed to mainnet over the weekend. Monday, devs will ensure all is functional and will be ready to reveal to the DAO on Tuesday.

Bridge Update
The bridge is 100% complete and internal testing (devs) will commence on Monday. The bridge is ready to “flip the switch” pending any remediation work that needs to be completed.

The CertiK audit is fully underway and as we finish the first full week we have the following results below. We remain on scheduled with the bridge.

vApp v2.0.2 is approved by App Store and Play Store. Please update prior to using restake. The main updates are:

📣 RESTAKE BUTTON CONTINUED

The new restake button in Marketplace allows you to remain staked to choose a new node when your current node goes offline.

Note that during an inactive stake, you will NOT earn rewards, but it allows you to avoid the 7-day chill period and allows you to avoid unintended withdrawal from VIP.

VERY IMPORTANT
If you do not intend to withdraw from VIP/VIPP:

- Do NOT use the “Unstake” button
- Do NOT use the “Exit VIP” button

BRIDGE
We have received the preliminary audit report back from CertiK on the following:
- Bridge
- Bridge Hub
- Asset Hub
- Holder Contract

There was 1 “major” issue identified as “centralization risk” due to the Holder contract being upgradeable. The Holder contract owner will be the multi-sig wallet and is classed as mitigation of risk and not as a resolution of risk. Any changes have to be performed by multi-sig, authorized by DAO.

We are working through possible solutions here, but might not be resolvable if we want the DAO to maintain control of the excess wrapper token supply.

The Bridge, Bridge Hub, and Asset Hub are all clean. Remediation work on the minor items are beginning Monday.

CertiK is beginning the penetration testing now on all the elements listed above and remains on schedule for completion on July 4.

WOW!! Lots of things going on!! LETS GOO!!!

PREPPING SYSTEM FOR BRIDGE
Our 2 rust engineers are locked down on this bridge effort… The scope is very large — Infrastructure update. 2 new parachains. Bridge. Validation.
- They are pushing a vNode update out right now to all the vNodes.
- Next (today) they are pushing a vApp update 3.0.0 which includes operators key regen and bug fixes.
- Lastly, they are remedying the issues found within CertiK’s Audit report.

CERTIK
All 3 CertiK scopes (blockchain, vApp, bridge) currently sit at 85% until we can complete remediation and resubmit for a FINAL report. The audit work is complete. It is waiting on us, as noted above.

Again, there was nothing critical or major found in the audit, but regardless, we will be repairing every issue identified to maximize our security score over the weekend.

📣 Bridge Open Update

Good morning/afternoon @everyone,

I have been advised by Dev team to move bridge open to Thursday (time TBD) due to unforeseen difficulties with the testing of the vNode runtime update last night — which is required for resetting the node keys in preparation for launching the new bridge hub.

Dev team will be working diligently throughout the weekend, but after having discussed the risks of launching under current state, I believe it’s worth the extra few days time to properly test. It’s important we listen to our experts.

PROPOSAL 007-1
Edits to the Articles of Association of the Vitreus Foundation

SUMMARY:
The Articles of Association for the Vitreus Foundation is the legal description of the Foundation that
serves as the business operations arm of the DAO. In addition to contracts, intellectual property, and
partnerships, this also describes very clearly the authorities and limitations of the Foundation and its
officers as it relates to the DAO. The current version is boilerplate language necessary for filing but
much of it either does not apply to our DAO or required changes to emphasize and clarify critical
authorities that may have been interpreted in such a way that did not benefit the DAO long-term. The
council has edited the document extensively and kept the track edits for your review to see what has
changed.

ABSTRACT:
The changes emphasize the DAO is the supervisor and edits focus on making sure that the supervisor
(DAO)’s authority is not superseded by directors or foundation officers and makes it clear that all
decisions voted upon by the DAO are the highest authority.

📣 BRIDGE UPDATE

Good evening everyone,

First, yesterday evening, I was advised of another push back of the bridge. Dev team is taking extra time to conduct testing with more than 2 validators on testnet. Also, doing some more testing with different quantities and groupings for the bridge set in addition to ensuring the ability to restart the network from the last good block in case of any trouble.

I have significant faith in our dev team and we have to heed their guidance here as we prepare for a stable and safe opening of the bridge.

Second, we still have 6 operators remaining that we are trying to get ahold of to reset their keys so they (and their stakers) don’t get slashed when the bridge opens. We have been pinging and emailing them aggressively. Amazing work having completed 140 resets so far.

As you can see below, they are hoping for *Tuesday*, but let’s plan for Thursday 18th at 9am as a TENTATIVE open. If it gets moved up, I’ll let everyone know.

Additionally, I’ve provided the design diagrams to show the complexities of our cross chain bridge infrastructure being built.
