Latest WhatsApp beta for iOS (2.16.7.71) adds the possibility to pick a GIF directly from the camera roll.

After more investigations, WhatsApp 2.16.7 beta version is also dedicated to a UI update of some little part of the app (no new UI color or restyling at the moment).
For example bubbles are more large (in according to your dynamic font in the iPhone Settings), the profile picture in the voice message is round and, as you saw in my tweets, WhatsApp updated UI of some sections (for example the section where you can add new participants).
Probably in next beta versions WhatsApp will add other little modifications of the user interface.
I remember you that WhatsApp 2.16.7 will be a major update, that contains GIF support and two killer features: I'm still studying the first and I'm waiting next beta versions to understand more about that; I will publish here the second in next days (DON'T LOSE THIS SECOND NEWS, IT'S IMPORTANT).

***PROBABLY*** 2.16.7 will be the version where WhatsApp will enable video calls: I think they won't immediately be available in the 2.16.7, but WhatsApp will enable video calls in 2.16.7 through a remote update, like they did tonight to enable quoted messages.

PS: Probably Stickers will be available when GIF support will be available.
I remember you that you will be able to use WhatsApp Stickers and Facebook stickers.

WhatsApp will support Siri requests with iOS 10!
Seems that WhatsApp developers are already internally working to add this support.

Probably one of the secret feature, that WhatsApp is working very hard (that I wrote in the quoted message some days ago), is exactly this announced in the WWDC: bubbles (in the Siri screen you can see the WhatsApp bubble) and Replies (you will be able to use Siri to send messages).

NEWS iOS 10:
When you will receive a voice or a video call from a WhatsApp contact, in the lock screen will not appear the notification about the call, but directly the UI of the stock call!

NEWS iOS 10:
iOS 10 will allow developers to integrate functionality in the address book.
So you will be able to call/message a WhatsApp contact directly from the iOS address book.

Note that WhatsApp already added so many things for the iOS 10 integration (not in 2.16.6 release).
