Spotify adds its own AI chatbot

Eligible Spotify Premium users can now talk to Spotify across Home and the Now Playing view on mobile.

You can ask Spotify to "Play some artists I haven’t heard before." You can say, "Add some Bad Bunny," and then ask to narrow it to "just his recent stuff," or "make it more upbeat." And when you love what you hear, ask Spotify to "save this song," "add this to my queue," or "follow this artist." You can also explore your listening and understanding what's playing.

This is currently available in the U.S., Ireland, and Sweden in English.

You can now run a browser inside a browser

The devs at Puter Labs have compiled the Gecko engine to WebAssembly so that Firefox can be loaded inside another browser.

The whole Firefox browser is rendering to a <canvas> element. It is fully end to end encrypted. The WISP protocol is used for TCP-over-websockets.

This port cost over 25k in opus/fable tokens for debugging and JIT research.

nothing exciting going on in tech news since the past few days (except Apple increasing subscription prices), so here's a boring news for y'all

no one cares about the new community feature. it still doesn't support channels with 10k+ subscribers. many people are using custom clients that don't have the community feature yet. this is more useless than topics.

Instagram now lets you swap out the music in your old posts

Instagram has introduced a new feature that will allow users to replace the audio track in previously posted photos and videos with different music, without having to reupload the post with a new song.

We’ve been building toward this idea that your content should be able to grow and change with you — whether that’s reordering your grid, updating a caption, or now swapping out the music on a post. Replace Audio is the latest step in that direction.
