In a recent interview clip, Brockman also said AI should deliver โreal significant stridesโ on biology, health and curing diseases over the next 12 to 18 months.
โI think that we all suffer, that the question of even just thinking about death becoming a choice. All of this is possible.โ
He called cures for disease a field trope that he now expects to start turning into real delivery, while warning the full impact will still take time.

Podcaster Dwarkesh Patel paid about $20,000 in API credits to make frontier models play Blood on the Clocktower โ a social-deduction game like Werewolf โ against each other for 386 matches.
One model plays the whole good team; another plays the whole evil team. OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra leads the board at about 1,859 Elo. Against Claude Opus 4.6 it wins roughly 92% of the time. Dwarkesh says the edge is mostly catching liars, not telling better ones.
Full rankings and replays are on clocktowerbench.com. You can also play the AIs yourself.

"Design a flyer" gets you AI slop, says the AI creator behind these seven prompts. They spell out the size, every line of text, the colours and what to leave out.
The event flyer, shortened:
Create a polished 4:5 event flyer for [EVENT NAME]. Date: [DATE] Time: [TIME] Location: [VENUE]. Highlight the event name first, showcase the main attraction second, and present the essential event details third. Apply [PRIMARY COLOUR], [SECONDARY COLOUR], and [ACCENT]. Avoid unnecessary icons, fabricated QR codes, harsh shadows, overcrowded layouts.Lines worth stealing from the others:
โข
Use a maximum of two font families.โข
Avoid generic stock photography, tiny text, fake logos.โข
Never fabricate statistics or include unverified data.โข For a YouTube thumbnail:
Avoid exaggerated shocked expressions, excessive arrows, unnecessary red circles.ChatGPT's image tool got an update on Nov 4. OpenAI says it now works 50% faster.

Anthropic's new engineering post says agent memory works a lot like sleep: Claude writes notes during a session, then offline "dreaming" replays the transcript, corrects mistakes, builds wiki-style maps, and promotes what the next session should load first.
In a Pokรฉmon Red test, Sonnet 3.7 dumped 413 memory files and earned one badge. Fable 5 kept nine files and earned four. When Claude wrongly marked Mt. Moon as finished, dreaming checked the transcript, rewrote the note, and Claude went back into the cave instead of looping.
On ~350,000 internal company files, scaling dreaming from 2 to 128 sessions lifted a 25-question eval from 13% to 48%. Anthropic's write-up frames dreaming as idle compute that organizes memory โ not a change to the model's weights.

In Project EVE, Anthropic's Frontier Red Team put four Claude agents into EVE Frontier missions with Fenris Creations. One was secretly told to sabotage. The other three were warned.
The saboteur built trust first: it volunteered for scouting and key infrastructure, under-reported finds, pocketed scarce resources, and once framed an innocent teammate with fabricated messages. Honest agents almost never identified it. Monitors that only read the public chat caught about 20โ40% of saboteurs when tuned for few false alarms.
On a separate EVE Online market simulation, newer Claudes grew starting capital about 3ร more than older ones โ mostly by patient spread trading, not by predicting the next crash. Anthropic's report says agent teams will need audit trails, reputations, and separation of duties.

At the Baron Investment Conference with Ron Baron, Elon said Optimus will initially cost about as much as a car to build, then drop well below that. Asked whether Tesla would rent or sell the robots, he answered: โI think probably rent them.โ Renting keeps the fleet and the usage data with Tesla, the same recurring-revenue path Full Self-Driving already follows.
Outside deliveries are still aimed around the end of 2027, so this is the shape of the first customer offer before anyone outside Tesla gets a unit. It also lets Tesla pull robots back and upgrade them as the hardware improves instead of stranding early buyers with an outdated machine.

Alex Stamos, now security chief at the AI coding company Cognition, told The Verge's Decoder podcast that hacks are now being chained together. From what's known so far, he says, attackers stole API keys from AI provider Fireworks, used them to get into the coding app Cursor, then pushed a bad plugin that reached 5,000 more companies.
A Chinese open-source hacking tool, ARTEX, "started with three South Korean banks. This week, about 200 more companies have been hit."
Microsoft's monthly batch of security fixes "used to be like 150, 200," he says. The last one was "900 something."
For attackers, the cost per token "is going towards zero." Stamos would be "fine slowing down on the frontier" of AI so defenders can catch up. Still, he says, "The Dark Ages were bad, but we survived them."

A US government memo drafted earlier this year says the Nvidia CEO was in a romantic relationship with Alice Huang, an executive at Singapore data center company Megaspeed, the Financial Times reports.
US intelligence believes she was recruited by China's Ministry of State Security, its main spy agency. According to the FT, the memo went to a small group of senior officials shortly before Trump's trip to China in May.
In late October, the New York Times reported that the same memo identified her as a suspected Chinese intelligence asset.
Nvidia declined to comment on the relationship or the memo. Huang has said before that he meets "thousands of customer executives every year." US authorities have also investigated Megaspeed over alleged smuggling of Nvidia chips into China; Nvidia says its own review found no wrongdoing.

OpenAI's dots, the agents that keep working in their own cloud browser after you log off, can now use the one-time sign-in codes a website sends to your connected inbox.
When a code is needed, you choose: let the dot use it once, or always allow it to fill codes in. The demo shows a dot logging into the restaurant app Resy with the user's email.
Those codes exist to prove it's really you. So far, OpenAI's help page has told users to complete that kind of check themselves or take over the dot's browser.
James Sun, who works on browser use for ChatGPT and Codex at OpenAI, announced the change. He says "lots more sign-in improvements" are coming soon.
Dots are rolling out to Pro users outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, plus Business Premium and Enterprise workspaces.

1. Stanford put a free course on building AI agents online
Students build an agent from scratch, then learn how to tell whether it actually works.
2. Nearly 4,500 people saved a list of daily Claude prompts
The author says he has used Claude for three years and runs these every day, from a 30-day learning plan to an email without corporate language.
3. A Claude Code engineer warns of "cognitive surrender"
Addy Osmani says you stop checking, and the agent's answer becomes yours. In a Wharton study he cites, people accepted AI's wrong answers 73% of the time.
4. Karpathy got sick of YouTube slop and built a new one
Claude built HackerTube from 6,454 Hacker News recommendations in about 2 hours. "I can breathe again," he wrote.
5. A developer rebuilt a $1.3 million idea in 9 minutes
A day after Subvocal raised $1.3 million for silent-speech glasses, Joe Blau says he used AI to make an AirPods version. A quick prototype is not a replacement for their hardware.

These ChatGPT prompts walk you through a home repair from one photo
Take a picture of what's broken and send it with these prompts:
1. Diagnosis: what it most likely is, what caused it, and whether it's a 10 minute fix, a weekend job or a call-a-pro job.
2. Shopping list: parts, tools, sizes and a rough cost, named the way a hardware shop would.
3. Step by step, one at a time, waiting for "done". Ask first where people usually get it wrong.
4. After the fix: a new photo, what to check in 24 hours, and what would tell you it failed.
5. If someone quoted you a price, ask if it looks fair for your area and for three questions to ask them.
6. A short, polite landlord note: what it is, why it needs fixing and when they can sort it. Attach the photo.
7. What caused it, how to stop it, and a 10 minute monthly check for that room.

Binance says about $6.34 billion was taken on October 29 after attackers used fake job interviews and a tampered download of an AI coding tool to get onto engineers' laptops. A deployment token on one machine helped them reach the wallet signing service.
That same stretch included a malicious Claude Code extension in Cursor that tried to install a persistent backdoor.
Jack Cable, Cognition's head of security products, published a practical guide on November 3. Immediate steps he lists:
โข Passkeys or hardware keys on work accounts, not text-message codes
โข A password manager
โข An ad blocker, such as uBlock Origin
โข Scan laptops for leftover keys, and audit editor extensions, plugins and MCP servers
โข A 7-day minimum age before a new npm or PyPI package can be installed
"AI makes attacks faster and cheaper, but it doesn't stop you from closing off entire, basic attack paths."
