📈 Bitcoin's Surge: Peter Brandt Predicts $150K by August

🚀 Veteran trader Peter Brandt has provided a technical analysis of Bitcoin's recent price surge, suggesting that it may reach $150K by August. Following Bitcoin's breakout to a new all-time high (ATH), Brandt emphasized that while this peak is significant, it is not a decisive technical event on its own. He pointed out the presence of established bullish continuation patterns that support the ongoing uptrend.

📊 Brandt's BTC/USD chart includes several key technical formations such as a symmetrical triangle, a double top retest, a head-and-shoulders retest, and a breakout from a bull flag pattern. He noted that the levels of $77,041 and $81,024 served as significant price floors during consolidation phases. A successful retest of these zones confirmed the broader bullish structure before Bitcoin resumed its upward trajectory, ultimately breaking past resistance and establishing new highs above $109K.

📈 In addition to the current momentum, Brandt suggested a potential price range between $125K and $150K by late summer. He wrote on social media,
On track maybe for top of $125,000 to $150,000 by end of August????

However, he also cautioned that this projection is speculative, stating,
Hey trolls, note the ?????

This indicates that while current technical indicators suggest strength in the upward trend, price targets are uncertain and sensitive to market volatility.

🤔 Despite skepticism about the rally's durability, proponents point to Bitcoin's history of achieving new highs during bull cycles. Brandt's chart formations provide a framework for analyzing potential price movements as the market approaches the third quarter.

🚀 Ripple CEO Highlights the Transformative Impact of Crypto ETFs

📈 In a recent episode of Ripple’s “Crypto In One Minute,” CEO Brad Garlinghouse discussed the growing momentum behind crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and their significance for institutional investors. He identified access and legitimacy as the two main factors driving this trend.

🔑 Garlinghouse pointed out that ETFs provide traditional investors with a new way to enter crypto markets. He stated,
This was really the first time you had institutions be able to go on Wall Street and trade directly in crypto.

This shift allows institutional investors who were previously hesitant due to self-custody complexities and centralized exchange concerns to participate in the market through regulated structures.

🌍 He also noted that the rise of crypto ETFs is changing the perception of the crypto sector, saying,
It really is institutionalizing the entire industry of crypto.

The rapid growth of bitcoin ETFs indicates a growing recognition of crypto as a legitimate asset class alongside traditional options like gold ETFs.

📅 This discussion comes at a pivotal time for the crypto industry, following the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s approval of bitcoin and ether ETFs. This approval has opened the door for more diverse crypto investment products and has sparked increased interest from institutional investors with new filings for XRP ETFs emerging.

🤝 Additionally, the SEC's decision to dismiss its enforcement case against Ripple over XRP adds further momentum to the crypto market. Although the court has yet to approve the settlement agreement, this potential resolution could lead to a more stable and transparent regulatory environment for digital assets in the U.S.

🆕 Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing: A New Initiative for Criminal Justice Reform

👩‍👦 Lyn Ulbricht, the mother of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, launched a nonprofit organization called Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing (MACS) during the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas. This initiative focuses on criminal justice reform, particularly addressing the issue of excessively harsh prison sentences for nonviolent offenders.

💔 Ulbricht was inspired to create MACS after experiencing her son's life sentence without parole for his role in the Silk Road marketplace. She emphasized the plight of many nonviolent individuals facing severe sentences, stating,
Multiple thousands of people, many of them nonviolent like Ross, are serving extreme sentences—locked away for years, decades, even lifetimes.

MACS aims to advocate for fairer sentencing practices that align punishment with the nature of the offense.

👩‍👧‍👦 At the Women of Bitcoin Brunch, a prominent event highlighting influential women in the Bitcoin community, Ulbricht presented MACS and encouraged attendees to support its mission through advocacy, education, and grassroots efforts. The organization is established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to challenging harsh sentencing laws and assisting families affected by them.

🗣 The MACS website declares,
We are a coalition of mothers—and others—who believe it is time to return to reasonable and fair sentencing.

The organization promotes a justice model that values equity and empathy, providing resources for those impacted by excessive penal measures. A statement on their portal asserts,
Exorbitant sentences that do not fit the crime are un-American, immoral, and unconstitutional.

🛡 Insurance Companies Eye Kidnap and Ransom Policies for Crypto Holders

🔍 U.S. insurance companies are exploring the introduction of "kidnap and ransom (K&R) policies" tailored for wealthy cryptocurrency holders. This move comes in response to rising concerns over the kidnapping of crypto entrepreneurs. The recent Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas highlighted these fears, as insurers aim to tap into this niche market, which has historically been lucrative despite modest premiums.

💰 K&R insurance has consistently delivered substantial profits for underwriters, making it an attractive offering within the broader insurance market. Insurers believe that the increasing sense of insecurity among super-rich cryptocurrency entrepreneurs will drive them to consider these policies.

🔒 However, wealthy crypto entrepreneurs are advised to take additional precautions beyond purchasing K&R insurance. Ryan Lackey, chief security officer at Evertas Insurance, suggests that making a portion of their digital assets less accessible can deter potential kidnappers. He stated,
The ideal product in the space is actually something where you can probably not get access to funds beyond a certain amount, and then you can pay them a small amount.

📊 Despite the potential for significant returns, K&R insurance policies for large crypto holders are contingent on the customer's cyber and physical security. Joseph Ziolkowski, CEO of crypto insurer Relm, noted that premiums for these policies will be influenced by a prospective customer's security measures. He explained,
The way coverage is priced is, there’s effectively a base rate, and that base rate gets debited and credited based on favorable or unfavorable circumstances related to a particular risk.

👀 For some high-profile crypto holders, withdrawing from public life has been effective in mitigating risks. However, this is not a viable option for those whose work necessitates visibility. This leaves them with no choice but to consider insurance products like K&R policies.

📉 Bitcoin ETFs Experience Significant Outflow While Ether ETFs Continue to Thrive

🔻 Bitcoin ETFs faced a sharp decline with a net outflow of $278 million, primarily due to withdrawals from seven major funds. This marked a break in their recent recovery and indicated a shift in investor sentiment. The Ark 21shares’ ARKB led the retreat with an outflow of $102.03 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC which saw $80.17 million exit. Other significant outflows included Bitwise’s BITB ($36.73 million), Grayscale’s GBTC ($24.09 million), and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust ($16.70 million). Even Invesco’s BTCO and Vaneck’s HODL were affected, recording outflows of $12.20 million and $6.51 million respectively. No ETFs reported inflows during this session.

📈 In contrast, ether ETFs enjoyed their 14th consecutive day of inflows, adding $11.26 million to their momentum. Blackrock’s ETHA was the main contributor with an inflow of $34.65 million; however, Fidelity’s FETH experienced a slight setback with an outflow of $23.40 million. Despite this minor fluctuation, the overall positive trend for ether ETFs remained strong.

💹 Trading volume for bitcoin ETFs reached $4.47 billion, while their net assets decreased to $122.98 billion. On the other hand, ether ETF trading volume was recorded at $571.70 million with net assets closing at $9.55 billion. This reflects a growing institutional confidence in ETH exposure.

📰 Bitcoin's Volatile Week: A Close Below $105,000 Amid Geopolitical Tensions

📉 Bitcoin (BTC) concluded the week just under $105,000, after briefly nearing the $110,000 threshold. This upward movement was hindered by increasing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and disappointing Consumer Price Index (CPI) data. Despite reaching a weekly high of $110,266 on June 10, BTC experienced a slight decline of 0.8% over the week.

🔻 Other major digital assets also saw minor declines, with XRP and Solana falling by 2.1% and 4.2% respectively. However, hyperliquid (HYPE) and bitcoin cash (BCH) were exceptions, rising by 16.7% and 4%. Some lesser-known tokens achieved significant gains, notably Aura which surged over 21,000%, followed by Useless Coin with an increase of more than 570%.

📉 On the downside, the Central African Republic (CAR) token was the week's biggest loser, plummeting 59.4% to $0.03601. This drop followed a peak of $0.095 on June 6, after an announcement about a new platform for purchasing tokenized land concessions. Other notable losers included SUI with an 11.4% drop, AVAX at 8.7%, and ADA down by 6.2%.

🌍 BRICS Nations Intensify Efforts to Challenge Dollar Dominance

🌐 BRICS nations are ramping up their efforts to challenge the dominance of the U.S. dollar in global finance. Russian President Vladimir Putin recently met with Dilma Rousseff, head of the BRICS New Development Bank, to discuss the establishment of a digital payment and investment platform for BRICS countries. This meeting took place on June 18 during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Certainly, there are issues requiring particular attention, I mean the expansion of opportunities for payments in national currencies and further joint efforts to create the digital platform of payments and investments,

Putin stated. He emphasized the need for enhanced financial cooperation among BRICS nations through the expansion of national currency payment systems.

🎉 Putin also congratulated Rousseff on her reelection as head of the BRICS New Development Bank. Her leadership comes at a crucial time when the bank is seeking to diversify financing away from traditional global financial systems.
Indeed, 120 projects worth $39 billion were approved and financed lately,

Putin noted.

💪 The BRICS nations, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, are actively pursuing strategies to reduce their reliance on the U.S. dollar. This de-dollarization effort is driven by a desire for greater financial sovereignty and to foster a more multipolar global financial system. Initiatives include promoting trade in national currencies, developing alternative payment systems, and increasing gold reserves.

🔄 While discussions about a common BRICS currency have taken place, the current focus remains on strengthening bilateral and intra-bloc trade using local currencies. Some members like Russia and China are actively increasing their use of the ruble and yuan in trade with other BRICS partners. This collective push aims to gradually reshape global finance and diminish the dollar’s long-standing dominance.

⚖️ XRP Nears Key Decision in Ripple v. SEC Case Amidst Optimism for Swift Resolution

📈 Optimism is rising in the XRP legal battle as fears of prolonged delays in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) v. Ripple Labs case are being dismissed by legal experts. Lawyer Bill Morgan addressed recent concerns on social media, stating that projections suggesting the dispute could extend into late 2026 are "not on the cards."

Unless an unexpected judicial rejection of the latest motion occurs, the prospect of extended appeals is remote,

Morgan emphasized. The case is currently awaiting a decision from District Judge Analisa Torres on Ripple's revised joint motion to settle the lawsuit. This motion seeks to reduce Ripple's civil penalty from $125 million to $50 million and lift the injunction on institutional XRP sales.

🕰 If the motion is denied, both parties may proceed with their respective appeals, potentially prolonging the case. However, Morgan's comments suggest that a more efficient resolution is likely unless there is an improbable judicial rejection of the latest motion.

🔍 The Ripple v. SEC case has been ongoing since 2020 and revolves around whether Ripple's sale of XRP tokens constitutes an unregistered securities offering. Many in the crypto community view the recent developments as a step towards regulatory clarity for XRP. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has expressed confidence in XRP's potential, projecting that it could capture 14% of SWIFT's global cross-border payment volume within five years.

🌍 Ripple and AEON: A New Era for XRP and RLUSD in Retail Payments

🤝 Ripple's XRP and RLUSD have entered the retail payment scene through a partnership with AEON, a digital asset infrastructure provider. This collaboration, announced on June 24, aims to integrate these cryptocurrencies into AEON's Web3 mobile platform, AEON Pay, facilitating transactions across a vast network of merchants.

🛍 AEON Pay will enable offline payments for over 20 million merchants in Southeast Asia, including major brands like UNIQLO, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks. The platform also plans to expand into Africa, Latin America, and other emerging markets.
With this partnership, AEON Pay now supports XRP and RLUSD across online and offline payment environments,

AEON stated.

💱 XRP is recognized for its speed and cost-effectiveness, making it an ideal choice for AEON’s payment framework. RLUSD, a stablecoin issued by Ripple Labs' subsidiary, Standard Custody & Trust Company, LLC, is fully backed by U.S. dollars and designed for compliance and reliability. This integration represents one of the most extensive uses of XRP in retail and introduces RLUSD to large-scale payment systems.

🔗 The partnership combines Ripple’s blockchain technology with AEON’s AI-driven omni-chain payment system, which facilitates automated crypto transactions. While some critics raise concerns about the centralization of stablecoins, proponents argue that XRP’s decentralized nature and RLUSD’s regulatory compliance provide a strong foundation for promoting global crypto adoption through everyday use.

💰 Boko Haram's Digital Financing: A Growing Concern

🛡 The Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram is increasingly utilizing cryptocurrencies, mobile money, and other digital tools to finance its operations. They transfer millions obtained through ransoms, looting, and extorted "zakat" donations. Observers describe these digital financing methods as a "blind spot" in the fight against terrorism.

🇳🇬 Nigeria's robust and largely unregulated crypto market, driven by economic necessity, inadvertently facilitates this threat. Experts like Oge Samuel Okonkwo point out that Boko Haram takes advantage of crypto's decentralized nature for low-cost operations, including weapons procurement. The group also benefits from the high volume of daily digital transactions in Nigeria.

🌍 Additionally, crypto's easy digital transferability aids the group's cross-border activities.

🇺🇸 Trump's Vietnam Trade Deal Boosts Markets

📈 U.S. President Donald Trump announced a significant trade deal with Vietnam on Wednesday morning through his social media platform, Truth Social. The agreement will reduce Vietnam's tariffs on exported goods from 46% to 20%. This news led to a rally in Bitcoin, which rose by 3.09%, and an uptick in stocks, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 increasing by 0.82% and 0.32% respectively, while the Dow saw a slight dip of 0.05%.

📉 Trump's announcement came shortly after a negative employment report from ADP, which revealed a loss of 33,000 jobs in June. This was contrary to Dow Jones economists' expectations of a 100,000 job increase.
Though layoffs continue to be rare, a hesitancy to hire and a reluctance to replace departing workers led to job losses last month

said ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson. However, he noted that the slowdown in hiring has not yet disrupted pay growth.

📊 The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is set to release more reliable jobs data on Thursday, which some experts predict will show a 100,000 job increase but with a rise in the unemployment rate to 4.3%.

🇻🇳 Interestingly, Trump stated that the Vietnam deal will eliminate all import taxes on American goods entering Vietnam. However, he pointed out that Vietnamese exports that undergo multiple transfers before reaching the U.S. will face a 40% tariff.

It is my Great Honor to announce that I have just made a Trade Deal with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam after speaking with To Lam, the Highly Respected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam

Trump wrote. He added,
Dealing with General Secretary To Lam, which I did personally, was an absolute pleasure

🧐 Coinbase Director Raises Hack Suspicions Over $8 Billion Bitcoin Movement

👀 Conor Grogan, a director at Coinbase, has expressed concerns that the recent activation of $8 billion in dormant Bitcoin (BTC) may be linked to a hack. He pointed to a single Bitcoin Cash (BCH) test transaction from a BTC whale cluster as potential evidence for his theory.

💬 In a post on X, Grogan suggested that the hacker(s) might have used BCH for a preliminary test because it is less monitored by crypto whale watchers. He stated,
There is a possibility that the owner was testing the private key in a way that wouldn’t get noticed, as BCH isn’t monitored heavily by whale watching services.

He noted that other BCH wallets remained untouched, raising questions about the motive behind this specific transaction.

🔍 While Grogan acknowledged that his conclusion is not firmly supported, he emphasized that the manual movement of BTC and the absence of an exchange wallet could indicate a potential heist. Some users on social media agreed with his theory, describing the BCH transfer as
classic key test check behavior.

However, others suggested alternative explanations, such as the possibility of someone cracking an old wallet.dat file.

🤔 Grogan countered this idea by questioning why the individual only accessed $2 million in BCH from one wallet shortly before the BTC movement and did not sweep the remaining BCH. He remarked,
this is really odd.

⏳ Another user, Binji, argued that the slow pace of the transactions casts doubt on the hack theory. They stated,
Given how slowly these sends transpired, it’s hard to be convinced it’s a hack.

Meanwhile, some users speculated about the potential role of quantum computers in breaking the key, suggesting that such a development could impact quantum stocks.
