The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Recite the Qur’an, for it will come on the Day of Judgment as an intercessor for its companions. Recite the two bright ones, Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran, for they will come on the Day of Judgment like two clouds, or like two shades, or like two flocks of birds in rows, defending their companions. Recite Surah Al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing, abandoning it is a source of regret, and the magicians cannot handle it.” [Narrated by Muslim].
