In the US, competition in the political forecasting market is intensifying
Two months before the US election, leading US prediction platform Kalshi is close to overcoming a ban by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on congressional control bets.
Last year, the CFTC banned betting on which political party would win a majority in the US Senate and House of Representatives. But on Friday, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled in favor of Kalshi, although it did not explain its motives.
Kalshi was sided in court by cryptocurrency platform Polymarket, which, although it does not serve U.S. residents, issued more than $450 million worth of contracts in USDC and other cryptocurrencies in July alone. According to Dune Analytics, most of those contracts were related to predicting the outcome of the election.

US companies will increase reserves in bitcoin
According to a River report, approximately 10% of U.S. companies will convert 1.5% of their treasury reserves, i.e. approximately $10.35 billion, into BTC over the next 18 months.

At the same time, Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy corporate treasury strategy has been more successful.
MicroStrategy currently holds 226,500 BTC and in June used $800 million raised from a 2.25% bond offering maturing in 2032 to buy an additional 11,931 BTC.
