Volkswagen CEO flags 50,000 extra job cuts to staff as costs squeezed

Volkswagen may need to cut about 50,000 extra jobs to boost keep up with rivals in an increasingly fierce car โ€Œmarket, its CEO told staff in an internal memo, effectively confirming for the first time that the automaker is looking to reduce up to 100,000 positions.

...After already agreeing 50,000 job cuts โ across the group, including its Porsche and Audi subsidiaries, the company must work on reducing costs further, having calculated a cost disadvantage versus comparable companies of 20%, Blume said in the memo seen by Reuters. This means a "theoretical deduction" of another 50,000 jobs worldwide, the memo said...

I spoke about this about a year ago. Here's on post as an example. You can't bullshit your way out of reality.

Depending on how you look at it, that's about 8% of Volkswagen's entire workforce. Globally. That's brutal.

It's a bit less if we include the Chinese market, but Volkswagen's own internal HR reports don't. They still treat that as a separate, unconsolidated thing.

I can't find it now, but I posted a report from Germany's automotive industry executives on the channel at some point. It painted a very bleak picture. This round of lay-offs is just the beginning.

Bring the troops home, Mr. President

It's time to call Europe's bluff.

The latest NATO summit is in the books. This year's confab in Ankara, Turkey, featured less drama than some had expected. Yes, President Trump demanded Greenland and threatened to cut trade ties with Spain. But he confirmed that the United States would not leave the alliance, at least for now, and pronounced the summit "tremendously successful."

"The unity in that room was incredible," he told reporters, "really a love, it was sort of pretty wild."

Here's another article that completely misses the point. Nothing will happen. Nothing will change. This fake drama is the exact same as during this guy's first presidency. And the last 2 years will be exactly the same also.

US home prices hit all-time high

State of the Union: Median existing home prices rose above $440,000 amidst political debate over "affordability politics."

...Housing sales declined to 2.4 percent month over month in June and 2.8 percent, seasonally adjusted, since June 2025. The NAR's Housing Affordability Index is up 6.8 points since June 2025 at 102.3, signaling that home prices are more affordable relative to the median family income. Yet the index was down 2.8 points from May.

Home affordability has become a contentious issue as "affordability politics" dominates discussions leading up to the midterms. A Harris poll conducted with the Guardian earlier this month saw 45 percent of respondents share that they found trouble affording housing...

This is the actual "state of the Union." Once you get rid of all the noise, this is the reality. People can't afford shit and it's only getting worse. Time for a 100 year mortgage, goy. But, you know, don't forget to vote harder.

Lindsey Graham cheered death. We shouldn't do the same

The senator represented my state in Congress for three decades. This is what I saw.

...Maybe some of this registered with me more than it should have because of my own antiwar politics. Yet for my entire adult, politically conscious life, this is what I saw year after year in this callous man - and I'm leaving out a lot due to the practical confines of this essay.

But from a South Carolinian, American, and certainly a pro life perspective, I strive to never be dismissive of life (though I don't always succeed), even that of someone who was so dismissive of it throughout his own. Humans should never strive for inhumanity. I wish Lindsey Graham had thought the same.

Look, I understand what Jack Hunter is trying to do with this article, and I agree, but there are limits. Also, Graham wasn't human, except in the strict biological sense. He was demonstrably subhuman in all other aspects. So yea, but nah.

Delusional leaders are dangerous leaders

When it comes to war, both Trump and Zelensky should return to reality.

At time of writing, it looks like the US Iran ceasefire may be on its last legs. On Tuesday, the US military launched strikes against more than 80 targets in Iran, retaliating for what the Pentagon termed Iran's "unwarranted aggression" in firing on three commercial ships earlier in the week. President Trump, asked about the situation at the NATO summit in Ankara, called dealing with the Iranians "a waste of time" and pronounced the interim agreement signed last month "over."

Even before the latest strikes, however, the president had been sounding a more bellicose note. In his Fourth of July speech, he invoked Americaโ€™s "recent victory" in Iran, claiming that America "wiped out their military..."

Delusional men tend to stay in their delusions unless they are pulled out with force. Nothing is forcing either of these two to "return to reality."

Critics slam idea to create US combatant command for robots

Lawmakers want a central HQ for AI and robotics but experts know this means more Pentagon bloat and mission creep, with no benefit to military readiness.

...The Department of Defense has weighed paring the commands back in response, floating restructuring plans last December that would reduce their number from 11 to 8. But lawmakers are going in the opposite direction, pushing for a new combatant command they say will speed up the military's uptake of robotic and autonomous systems.

As experts tell RS, the new command is poised to create more redundancy, waste, and inefficiency - and the mission creep that comes with it - while stifling efforts to deploy such technologies in practice...

"You are right to push against that, it was an elementary school. If you like, I can give you another list of potential targets, not including children."

The Iran war destroyed the strategic logic of the Abraham Accords

The agreements can't bring peace because they sidestep the root cause of instability in the Middle East.

The Abraham Accords sought to succeed where decades of negotiations had failed. By separating Arab normalization with Israel from the Palestinian issue, the effort bypassed the core concept of the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, which explicitly tied the normalization to the creation of a Palestinian state on its 1967 borders. The Accords made no attempt to discuss or adjust this principle; instead, they discarded it outright...

The only "logic" the accords ever had was Judeo-American empire cucking.

Moscow demands IAEA action over "terrorist" killing of nuclear plant staff

Zaporozhye NPP's chief engineer and his driver were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike on Wednesday.

Moscow is expecting an explicit response from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after the killing of a senior engineer at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) by the Kiev regime, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

Europe's largest nuclear power plant has been targeted by Ukraine on multiple occasions since Russia took control of the facility in March 2022. On Wednesday, Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom said a Ukrainian drone struck a ZNPP service vehicle on the edge of the plant's industrial site near the city of Energodar, killing chief engineer Aleksandr Yakovlev and driver Dmitry Filippov.

Sorry dude, no way to establish who killed them. Demand harder.

China to "firmly defend" its companies against US tariffs on Russian energy buyers

The US Senate has proposed legislation that would impose up to 100% levies on Russia's major oil and gas customers.

"...China firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law or authorization of the UN Security Council, and will take necessary measures to firmly defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese businesses and citizens," Lin said.

"Practicing double standards and resorting to coercion and pressuring will eventually prove to be self defeating," he added.

Mr. Chong! Mr. Chong! Will this be before or after you sell drone parts to Ukraine for money stolen from Russia?

Lindsey Graham was a monster, but not exceptional

Normal people would be ashamed to be seen with him, dead or alive; Western elites are boasting of how close to him they were.

Lindsey Graham is dead. And if we were to apply the old Spartan and then Roman adage "about the dead, nothing but the good," then this is where this text would have to end...

...Graham was an almost cartoonishly evil man and since he was also very powerful, his moral depravity made a big difference to the lives of all too many. Downplaying that fact out of misplaced piety would be perverse; it would mean to disrespect the many victims of perfidious and brutal US and, in fact, Israeli policies of vicious violence and outrageous injustice that Graham promoted with every fiber of his being for his whole political life...

My boy Tarik never disappoints. Another great article. This man just does not miss.

Let's end it here

As Tarik says, Graham wasn't exceptional. He was a subhuman, bloodthirsty degenerate and the world was immediately upgraded to a better place the second he finally did everyone a favor and fucked off. Unfortunately, the Judeo-American empire is full of such swine. In the grand scheme of things, another pig will take his place. The cue of pigs is long.

Also, the uniparty will now do its best to whitewash his "legacy." They always do. They did the same with Bush. Look out for attempts to portray him as a chill dude after all. "You know, he wasn't so bad." He was.

The joy he showed as he spoke about dead Russians is the same joy I have when I think about dogs pissing on his tombstone. Look at you, you piece of shit. After all you've done, after all that effort you invested into making this world a terrible place... You're just a dead bitch.

That's it. I'm done with him now.

Sick political charlatans still lending support to Ukraine's cult of fascism

You would think it was insane enough that these fake "leaders" continue to covertly, if not overtly, retain military and commercial trading ties with Israel, in full knowledge of that country's brutal ethnic cleansing of the population of Gaza and other settlements on Palestinian soil.

What an utter disgrace for countries which see themselves as "civilised societies" to refrain from cutting off relations with the perpetrators of a fully documented holocaust. But these same "leaders" have not stopped here; they are repeating their blatantly immoral actions in Ukraine...

Julian Rose is on fire, and rightly so. We have so many articles that tone down content to appear more "professional," to the point of being meaningless. Part of the reason I like what 21st Century Wire does is they don't engage in needless diplomatic language.

US announces "counterterrorism" push against leftist groups, pro Palestine voices

Secretary of State Rubio announced the new "counterterrorism" strategy during a conference in Washington despite the lack of evidence showing a threat from left wing groups.

Rubio told officials from more than 60 countries that left wing violence had long been overlooked and was a "blind spot" of US intelligence agencies.

"We can, and we must identify and map this threat and rebuild our counterterrorism architecture to defeat it," Rubio said.

"The conference marks the Trump administration's most significant effort yet to internationalize a counterterrorism focus that critics say is not supported by data," Reuters wrote.

Does this mean more child murder? I bet it means more child murder. It always does.

Trump's Chinese election meddling claims face skepticism

President Donald Trump touched on a wide array of issues in his July 16 address to the nation, from accusing China of meddling in US elections to defeat him to significant domestic election vulnerabilities.

In his comments and in the previously top secret documents he ordered declassified to bolster his case, Trump made sweeping claims about the vulnerability of US elections to both foreign interference and cyber and technical vulnerabilities.

Some experts who have reviewed Trump's claims and the newly released documents say the president is mischaracterizing them. That includes the top Democrat of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA).

You gotta keep feeding the boomer. The boomer will be impressed by attempt number 165. The boomer is pleased to see the GREAT LEADER kicking ass. Lol.

Merz warns Trump against election meddling

The German chancellor has criticized a new US State Department funding program for Europe launched ahead of September's federal vote.

"It is illegal to finance political parties in Germany from abroad," Merz said on Wednesday. "And I assume that our friends around the world, in particular, will also abide by these legal rules that we have established in Germany."

Hah! Look at Merz, pretending to be a real boy. Didn't Dmitriev tell you to be good vassals? Be a good little whore.

Israel and its backers try to save its reputation in the US

One challenge for pro Israel activists is that both the US and Israel have elections soon, complicating messaging strategies.

...The Middle Eastern country and organizations that support it are publicly and privately fighting against an unusual barrage of bipartisan US criticism. That wave of anti Israel anger reached new heights this week as more than 100 House Democrats voted for a failed measure to end aid to Israel, while Vice President JD Vance accused Israel of waging an online offensive against him.

So buying congressmen and senators isn't enough. Turning "pastors" into shills isn't enough. Bastardizing Christianity isn't enough. Endless litigation isn't enough. The jewish propaganda everywhere you look isn't enough. Damn, what gives? What about soap? Maybe try mentioning the soap. That seems to always work. Oh, it no longer does? Pitty.

Israeli war chief tells Pentagon that occupation forces will remain in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz informed US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on 16 July that Israel will continue to occupy territory it has seized in Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip, rejecting calls to withdraw.

According to a statement issued by the Defense Minister's office, Katz expressed "Israel's determination to remain in the security zones in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon to protect Israel's borders and the communities near the border."

"We have never asked the United States to act in our place along our borders," Katz added.

Only a complete idiot would expect anything less from the jews.
