Iran negotiations day 16: US feared Israel would kill Iran's top negotiators
State of the Union: Transits through the Strait of Hormuz have significantly increased, but the situation remains volatile.
...The New York Times reported on Thursday, citing anonymous US officials, that the US worried in April that Israel would attempt to assassinate Iran's lead negotiators - Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf - during ceasefire negotiations.
Officials told the Times that the US had directed other countries to warn Iran about the potential Israeli assassination plot, while a senior advisor to Ghalibaf confirmed that his plane was diverted en route back to Iran...
First of all, no. I don't buy it. Secondly, what a weird way to preface the subheader. "State of the Union"? Which union? Our Union? What does that have to do with the Strait of Hormuz? Is that Union territory now? I didn't get the memo, I guess.

Strange paradox of the modern war
After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, two concepts entered common political usage, the "war of necessity" and the "war of choice." The first meant territorial defense and national survival and the second, a war launched not in response to an immediate attack but by calculation and design.
What a stupid article. It's called the "strange paradox of the modern war," but no paradoxes are discussed or demonstrated. The thesis is that wars are increasingly being treated as "wars of necessity," but are actually "wars of choice." That's not a paradox, dude. Paradoxes don't exist anyway, but that isn't even an apparent paradox. Unless, of course... Oh, I get it. You think the RT worldview of Trump and Netanyahu fighting, of Anchorage, and of needless political philosophy is actually real...
I'm going to keep highlighting these ridiculous wishy-washy premise articles. I've heard Trump is really angry with Netanyahu. Write about that again. Clowns.

FIFA cancels US star's red card ban after reported Trump call
Belgium has vowed to "defend football" after FIFA's controversial decision to let Folarin Balogun play in the pivotal Round of 16 match.
Oh no! Not the "football"! We must defend the football! Belgium will mobilize the entire nation to defend the football! We must not let football be harmed! Give me football or give me death! E equals football squared. It is football! Ladies and gentlemen, we got the football. The time is now near at hand which must probably determine who will win the football.
Are you as excited as I am to see who will win the football? For this year, at least. And, indeed, at most. Watch football being played and argued about all over the world! Are you caught up on all the football? Spend time today to fight over what the kicking of the ball should be called! DAMN, he kicked that ball so good!
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?! LOL.

Russia is increasing the pressure...
Strikes in Kyiv targeted multiple defence facilities, including enterprises involved in the design and production of reconnaissance and long range UAVs, radar and electronic systems, armoured vehicles and armour components, missile and UAV warheads, artillery boats and uncrewed surface vessels, as well as fire control, electro optical and navigation systems.
Facilities linked to the Neptune missile programme were among the targets. Strikes elsewhere in Kyiv Oblast also took place, included the Vizar machine building plant in Zhulyany, described as producing, maintaining and repairing air defence missile systems, aircraft technologies, air defence components and long range fixed wing UAVs. A large secondary detonation was observed after the strike. It also identifies a fuel storage and engineering facility in Vyshneve that reportedly stores gasoline and diesel used for military logistics and supports fuel infrastructure as having been hit.

When General Surovikin was appointed for the extensive missile campaign, it looked for a while like Russia was going to drag Ukraine back into the dark ages. Alas, he was replaced.
It looks to me like Russia is starting to increase the frequency, as well as the scale of their missile attacks. Was this what Lavrov spoke about? Because many people (including myself) expected those to be empty words and that the "Spirit of Anchorage" will keep haunting the country. The last week of strikes are giving me hope that it's not the case. Fingers crossed.
The Ukraine saga needs to end. The terrorist regime in Kiev needs to go. For everyone's sake, especially Ukrainians'. I was getting downright angry lately about Russia's inaction. Hoping for a handshake is all well and good, but when the person in front of you has no hands, has no notion of what a handshake is, and has made it his life mission to kill you and your children, perhaps it's better to just shoot him in the face instead.

Trump strikes Iran following Hormuz attacks
The White House earlier reinstated sanctions on Iranian oil.
The US military announced Tuesday evening it was "launching a series of powerful strikes against Iran" in retaliation for "Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz."
Posted to X at 5:15 PM Eastern Time, the announcement said the Iranian attacks were "unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire."
Minutes later, Trey Yingst of Fox News reported that "US forces are currently striking southwestern Iran." Axios reported, citing a US official, that the targets included "air defense systems, coastal surveillance systems, surface to air missiles, anti ship cruise missile sites, drone launch sites and port facilities." The same official said these strikes were four or five times more powerful than previous US strikes ten days ago...

Trump calls both Erdogan and Netanyahu "terrific," repeats claim that he kept Turkey out of Iran war
US President Donald Trump praises both Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while acknowledging the ongoing feud between the leaders over the potential sale of American F35 jets to Ankara, saying he told Netanyahu that he personally prevented Erdogan from entering the war against Iran on Tehran's side.
"I like Erdogan," Trump tells reporters at the NATO summit in Turkey, calling the Turkish leader "terrific."

The BBC lost the audience, now it wants the algorithm
The UK government's June 2026 consultation document is called Watch This Space. It proposes giving an unnamed authority the power to determine which news outlets get algorithmically elevated on YouTube, TikTok, and every major platform operating in Britain.
Within days of its publication, YouTube pushed a notification to hundreds of thousands of UK creators warning them the government planned to "put some channels above others," and the hashtag KeepYouTubeYours tore across the same platforms Labour wants to regulate, faster and further than any BBC press release has managed in years...
It'll get much, much worse. There's no other way for the subhuman degenerates in power. It's either increasing totalitarianism, or the end. If there's anything we can be certain about in politics, it's that the ruling pedo clique will sooner see every one of us die than give up power.

Monaco's judicial authorities have identified the principal suspect in the Principality's first parcel bomb attack as Ukrainian national Anastasiia Berezovska, who was also the subject of an Interpol Red Notice.
She conducted reconnaissance visits before the explosion, then fled through France and Italy before returning to Ukraine. According to Ukrainian prosecutors, a pre trial investigation was opened upon her return.
She communicated with a former law enforcement officer and an active officer of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), both of whom transferred funds to her via cryptocurrency wallets and bank accounts before investigators launched searches.

This is astonishing...
This country was supposed to be used as a proxy against Russia, but the leadership is so shockingly corrupt, they started devouring each other to an incredible degree.
Just in case it isn't clicking for you, the woman who was hired by Ukraine's intelligence to murder the jew oligarch who ran scam call operations across Europe was herself murdered by the same intelligence agency once she returned.
So Ukraine organizes terrorist attacks across the world, then kills the people whom they hired. What a bunch of pigs, unbelievable. No wonder everyone is exhausted. They are a plague on the entire continent. It's what happens when you let swine in your kitchen. In a blind "current thing" support of them, Europeans and others invited all this chaos and corruption to their countries. Maybe next time, people will actually question what THE NEWSโข๏ธ tells them. But probably not. People will probably jump on the next current thing just as enthusiastically. What a shame.

Netanyahu ignored the warnings before October 7. This time is just as bad.
The hostility between Israel and Turkey, and notably between Netanyahu and Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is longstanding.
And the intention of US President Donald Trump to provide F35 aircraft to his buddy Erdogan is definitely causing concern in Jerusalem. But Netanyahu, as is his wont lately, is going a bit farther.
On Tuesday morning, the prime minister visited the navy base in Haifa. We'll be seeing more visits like this in the coming period, with the Israel Defense Forces being exploited for political purposes, circumventing election rules...

Map tracks spread of "explosive" diarrhea outbreak. How to prevent infection.
Michigan and at least two dozen other states are reporting rising cases of cyclosporiasis, a foodborne infection caused by a stomach parasite that causes severe and sometimes explosive diarrhea.
More than 1,000 infections have been reported as of July 9, according to STAT, a health and medical news source which cited Associated Press reports. Michigan has officially reported 1,251 cases to date...
Cyclosporiasis is usually not considered a life threatening disease, though it can cause severe dehydration. The illness is caused by consuming the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis while ingesting contaminated food or water. It's generally not transmitted directly from one person to another.
Shit's getting worse and worse. Literally. Lol.
