रोज़ करते-करते
झाड़ू-पोछा, बर्तन
अब आया समझ
क्यों अक्सर गुस्से में रहता था
मम्मी का मन
जब कढ़ाई से उछल के लगा
हाथ में तेल का गर्म छींटा
तब मालूम हुआ
क्यों मम्मी-पापा में
मम्मी ने ही ज्यादा पीटा
अब जब घूमने के लिए
बस दो कमरे ही हैं
और देखने के लिए चार दीवारें
तो लगता है माँ ने तो
अपने अपनी ज़िंदगी के सारे दिन
Lockdown में ही गुज़ारे हैं
घर भर को चारों टाइम
परोसती थी खाने को
फिर भी बस उसे ही
नहीं मिलता था
बाहर जाने को
जिन कामों से हम बस कुछ ही दिनों में
परेशान हो गए
तूने उन कामों को रोज़ अपने सर लिया है
मां अब समझ आया
कितनी मेहनत से तूने
कुछ कमरों को घर किया है..

An Appeal for Help
My Dear Friends,
Please show this communication to your parents. It is mainly for them.
This time I am communicating with you to seek your help for migrant workers. All of you are aware that the people who suffered the most in this lock down period are 'Migrant Workers'.
Practically, they are not left with any money, food or water. Government buses just dropped them at the border of their respective states, but they are unable to reach to their respective homes inside that state. These workers are now at the mercy of people like you and me or NGO's for help.
We are fortunate to stay at home and get food on demand. We are happy with our social media, TV, mobile etc. But some people in India are starving. They are waiting to die for want of basic necessities and not due to Corona. These are the people in the lowest strata of our society.
We all (including me) wanted to help these people, but we are afraid of moving out of our home. While donating the funds, we are not very sure whether it will be utilised properly or not. I am sharing certain facts with you below. I can only assure you that every rupee of your donation will be utilised fully (100%) for the poorest of people in India, without any leakage.
Facts :
One of my very good friend CA Prayaag Joshi from Pune, is a social worker and has devoted his remaining life for the betterment of poor. He was one of the partners in a global consulting firm 'Arthur Andersen'. But after the winding up of this firm, he switched over to a social project and he is running a school at a very remote village for tribal people. Presently he is located at Balenga Para, Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh.
Today morning I received a distress call from CA Prayaag Joshi. He narrated me the actual story of migrant workers and requested for some monetary help. He has already used the funds available with him to help out these starving people. Myself and few of my close friends, who know him personally, offered some immediate monetary help.
However, the task is very big considering the number of people requiring such help. Hence, I am approaching you personally. If we all can individually contribute any amount for this noble cause, it will be a great help to the needy people.
