❗️Over 1,500 Palestine Action 'terrorism' cases trigger complete meltdown across London court system

Over 1,500 individuals facing terrorism charges for supporting the banned direct action group Palestine Action found their cases chaotically listed for hearings in London on Thursday, sending the criminal justice system into a tailspin.

Defend Our Juries reported that hundreds of defendants received contradictory notices advising mandatory attendance while simultaneously instructing them to stay away, culminating in a sprawling administrative mess at Westminster Crown Court that locked self-representing defendants out of proceedings.

The logistical nightmare unfolded as the Supreme Court ruled that Palestine Action could legally challenge its proscription, which was initially imposed by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government in July 2025.

Thousands of protesters have been arrested over the past year under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act for holding placards or wearing solidarity clothing, with Thursday's mass listings resulting in duplicate names, nonexistent courtroom assignments, and flyers addressed generically to whoever it may concern.

Outside the courthouse, police arrested at least 77 demonstrators during a sit-in where participants risked up to 14 years under Section 12 for inviting support of the group.
