ERNST Christof Friedrich ZÜNDEL

born: 24 April 1939
died: 5 August 2017

Ernst Zündel was a graphic designer, journalist, publisher and revisionist. He emigrated to Canada for pacifist reasons, where he was put on trial twice in the late 1980s for holding dissenting views on German history.
When, in 1988, he was brought before an arbitrary court for the second time as a victim of political persecution, the Leuchter Report was produced, which formed the subject of the proceedings as an expert report.
In a cloak-and-dagger operation, he was effectively abducted to the Federal Republic of Germany and put on trial in Mannheim over a website run by his wife.
On 15 February 2007, he was ‘sentenced’ to five years’ imprisonment for ‘incitement of the people’ and ‘denial’, receiving the maximum possible sentence.
He was released on 1 March 2010.
Ernst Zündel died on 5 August 2017 following a fall in the shower at his parents’ home.
