❗️Israeli military admits firing on vehicle of five-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza

In an abrupt reversal of its previous stance, the Israeli military acknowledged on Wednesday that it opened fire on the vehicle carrying five-year-old Hind Rajab in Gaza during January 2024, announcing that it has finally launched a criminal investigation into the killing, according to CNN.

The Israeli military has, for years, explicitly denied involvement, claiming in preliminary assessments that its occupying soldiers were neither present nor within firing range of the targeted car.

Rajab was traveling with six family members in northern Gaza when their vehicle came under Israeli fire, leaving her as the sole initial survivor who spent hours pleading on the phone with Palestine Red Crescent Society paramedics for rescue.

An ambulance dispatched to save the trapped child was subsequently shelled and destroyed, and Rajab’s bullet-riddled body was discovered twelve days later.

The harrowing emergency call sparked global outrage and inspired international calls for accountability, alongside an Oscar nomination in 2026 for the documentary film chronicling the Israeli attack.
