قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

"صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى الله أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلهُ وَالسَّنَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهُ."

رواه مسلم.

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

"Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah expiates the sins of the year before it and the year after it."

Narrated by Muslim.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

( مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ اللهُ فِيهِ عَبْدًا مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيَدْنُو ، ثُمَّ يُبَاهِي بِهِمُ الْمَلائِكَةَ ).

رواه مسلم .

وقال أيضاً : ﷺ

( خَيْرُ الدُّعَاءِ دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ ، وخَيْرُ مَا قُلْتُ أنَا وَالنَّبيُّونَ مِنْ قَبْـلِي:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الـمُلْكُ ، ولَهُ الـحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِير ).

رواه الترمذي

Tha Prophet (PBUH) said:

"There is no day in which Allah sets more servants free from Hell than the Day of 'Arafa. He draws near, then praises them to the angels."

And the prophet (PBUH) said:

"The best supplication is the one which is made on the day of Arafa, and the best of what I and the Prophets before me said is: There is no god (worthy of worship) except Allah alone. He has no partner. His is the sovereignty, and to Him belongs (all) praise, and He is Most Capable of everything."

"لاَ يُضَحِّيَنَّ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ."

وقالﷺ أيضاً:

"مَنْ باع جلْدَ أُضْحِيَتِهِ، فلَا أضْحِيَةَ لَهُ."

حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ رَوَاهُ الحاكم.

Tha Prophet (PBUH) said,

"One shouldn't sacrifice until he has prayed (Eid Al Adha prayer)."

Narrated by Muslim.

And the prophet (PBUH) said:

"Whoever sells the skin of his sacrificed animal, (it will be as if) he has not sacrificed."

( من اغتسلَ يومَ الجمعةِ غسلَ الجنابةِ ثم راح فكأنما قرَّبَ بَدَنَةً ، ومن راح في الساعةِ الثانيةِ فكأنما قرَّبَ بقرةً ، ومن راح في الساعةِ الثالثةِ فكأنما قرَّبَ كبشًا أقرنَ ، ومن راح في الساعةِ الرابعةِ فكأنما قرَّب دجاجةً ، ومن راح في الساعةِ الخامسةِ فكأنما قرب بيضةً ، فإذا خرج الإمامُ حضرتِ الملائكةُ يستمعون الذكرَ. )

رواه البخاري ومسلم.

The prophet ( PBUH ) said,

" Whoever takes a full bath on Friday (like the one obligated after intercourse) then goes (to the Friday prayer), he is like one who offers a camel as a sacrifice, and whoever goes in the second hour, would be like one who offers a cow, and whoever goes in the third hour, is like one who offers a horned ram, and whoever goes in the fourth hour, is like one who offers a hen, and whoever goes in the fifth hour is like one who offers an egg, and when the Imam (the prayer leader) comes out, the angels would then attend to listen to the sermon."

[ مَنِ احْتَبَسَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِيمَانًا بِاللَّهِ وَتَصْدِيقًا بِوَعْدِهِ ، فَإِنَّ شِبَعَهُ وَرِيَّهُ وَرَوْثَهُ وَبَوْلَهُ فِي مِيزَانِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ. ]

رَوَاهُ البُخَاريُ.

احتَبَسَ = جَعَلَه وَقْفًا لِلجِهادِ والدِّفاعِ عنِ المُسلِمينَ.

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"Whoever keeps a horse for the cause of Allah out of faith in Allah and believing the promise of Allah, its feed, water, urine and dung will all be in the balance of his deeds."

{ منْ غدَا إِلَى المَسْجِدِ أَوْ رَاحَ ، أعدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ في الجنَّةِ نُزُلاً كُلَّمَا غَدا أوْ رَاحَ. }

رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيُ ومُسلِم.

غدَا = ذهب أول النهار.
رَاحَ = ذهب آخر النهار.

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"He who goes towards the mosque in the morning or evening (for prayer), Allah would arrange a house for him in Paradise every time he goes in the morning or evening."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
[ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ لاَ يَنْهَزُهُ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ ، لَمْ يَخْطُ خَطْوَةً إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ الْمَسْجِدَ. ]

حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ ابن ماجة.

يَنْهَزُهُ = يُخرجه ويُنهضه.

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"When anyone of you performs ablution and does it well, then he comes to the mosque for no other purpose than prayer, he does not take one step but Allah will raise him one degree (in status) thereby, and remove one sin from him thereby, until he enters the mosque."

[ من أنظرَ معسراً كانَ لَه بِكلِّ يومٍ صدقةٌ ، و من أنظرَه بعدَ حلِّهِ كانَ لَه مثلُه في كلِّ يومٍ صدقةٌ. ]

حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ ابن ماجه.

بعدَ حلِّهِ = بعد موعد السداد.
كانَ لَه مثلُه = ضِعْفَيْ ما عندَ المَدينِ.

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"Whoever gives respite to a debtor in difficulty, he will have (the award of) an act of charity for every day. Whoever gives him respite after payment becomes due, he will have (the award of) twice as much (the amount of the loan) charity for each day (he waits)."

[ مَنْ أَتَى فِرَاشَهُ وَهُوَ يَنْوِي أَنْ يَقُومَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنَاهُ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ كُتِبَ لَهُ مَا نَوَى وَكَانَ نَوْمُهُ صَدَقَةً عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. ]

حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَاهُ النَسائي.


The prophet (PBUH) said,

"Whoever goes to his bed intending to get up and pray Qiyam at night, then sleep overwhelms him until morning, will have recorded that which he intended and his sleep is a charity given to him by his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime."

[ الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ ، وَالْجُمْعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمْعَةِ ، وَرَمَضَانُ إِلَى رَمَضَانَ , مُكَفِّرَاتٌ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ إِذَا اجْتَنَبَ الْكَبَائِرَ ].

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

" The five (daily) prayers, and Friday prayer to the next Friday prayer, and Ramadan to the next Ramadan, are expiations for the sins committed between them so long as major sins are avoided."

[ رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ صِيَامِ شَهْرٍ وَقِيَامِهِ ، وَإِنْ مَاتَ جَرَى عَلَيْهِ عَمَلُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَعْمَلُهُ وَأُجْرِيَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ وَأَمِنَ الْفَتَّانَ. ]

رَوَاهُ مُسلِم.

الرِبَاطُ = الجِراسَةُ في سبيل الله.
وَأَمِنَ الْفَتَّانَ = أمِنَ سؤالَ المَلَكين في القَبرِ.

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"Being stationed for a day and a night on the frontier in God’s path is better than fasting a month and spending its nights in prayer. If one dies, he will be rewarded for the deeds he was doing, he will be given his provision, and will be safe from that tests him."

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"When a servant (of Allah) falls ill or travels, good deeds will be written for him like the ones he used to do when he was at home in good health."

"Whoever summons others to follow right guidance, his reward will be equivalent to whoever follows him without that diminishing anything from their reward."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَليهِ وَآلِهِ وَصَحبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

[ إِنَّ طُولَ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ وَقِصَرَ خُطْبَتِهِ مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِهِ ، فَأَطِيلُوا الصَّلَاةَ ، وَاقْصُرُوا الْخُطْبَةَ ، وَإِنَّ مِنْ الْبَيَانِ سِحْراً ].

رواه مسلم.

مَئِنَّةٌ مِنْ فِقْهِه = دليل على فقه الإمام .

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

" The length of a man's prayer and the shortness of his sermon indicate his fiqh (good understanding of religion).
So, lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon, for some diction has charm."

The prophet (PBUH) said,

"He who sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will make him reach the ranks of martyrs, even if he dies on his bed."

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) gave me a send-off and said,

"I command you to Allah’s keeping, Whose trust is never lost."
